Catenary is one of the important parts of electrified railways.The catenary had become an important issue for the safe operation of electrified railways because of its structure and working characteristics.A wide range of catenary presented a serious challenge to the railway safe operation of China which had an increased and longest railway in the world.At present,the manual method of point by point detection method is becoming more and more difficult to meet the requirement of catenary detection whose workload had rapidly expanding and the improvement of the detection technology.A kind of intelligent and portable detection equipment had become an urgent need in the field of catenary's geometry parameters detection.During the construction of catenary,the catenary could not be detected with detection locomotive.The manual testing methods were low efficiency and lack of continuity.The commonly methods of catenary's geometry parameters could not detect the geometry parameters at the position of the dropper.This dissertation relies on the cooperation project between Hunan University and Beijing Tiangegaotong Technology Corporation.On the basis of the detection technology of two linear array cameras,we research the detection method and system of catenary's geometry parameters with high resolution and high scan frequency linear array cameras.Detailed works are as follows:By studied the principles and the advantages and disadvantages of the two common detection method of catenary's geometry parameters in China.Aiming at the problems of the above two detection methods at the position of the dropper and based on the characteristics of linear array camera,which had high scan frequency and high resolution.We proposed a detection method and system of catenary's geometry parameters based on two linear array cameras.And we did detailed analysis on the principles of this kind of detection method,data analysis,calibration problems and system component and structure.For requirements of the detection system of catenary's geometry parameters,we analyzed the structure of hardware system.We designed and implemented the prototype system of the catenary's geometry parameters detection based on two linear array cameras which contains field detection software,post-processing software and starting angle calibration software.We proposed a pixel position extraction algorithm of contact wire based on the characteristics of the linear array cameras.We got the corresponding pixel position of the catenary through the algorithm.Finally,we got the geometry parameters of the catenary through the algorithm of catenary's geometry parameters.In order to verify the feasibility and stability of the detection method and system of catenary's geometry parameters based on two linear array cameras.We accomplished the corresponding test work through many experiments which contains many contrast tests with the laser radar detection system.The experiments showed that the detection method and system is proved to be feasible and it could be up to the standard requirements in precision and stability.And it also had gone beyond the existing detection method based on laser radar in precision and stability.
