The characteristics of super-tall buildings are flexible?light?lightly damped and etc.Therefore,the wind loads become one of the main level control loads of super-tall buildings.High-frequency force balance(HFFB)technology is one of the main methods of studying the wind effects of super-tall buildings.This paper studies on the several key problems of HFFB wind tunnel test technique and data analysis.The major works and innovations are as follows:The paper compares two kinds of methods of calculating the structural responses,which are traditional method of separating background and resonant response and accurate method of directly calculating structural responses,respectively.The results show that it will lead to the response calculation error if ignoring the correlation of background and resonant response.The Guangzhou East Tower is taken as an example to illustrate the acting mechanism of background and resonant response based on the bending moment spectrum,and to analyze the necessary of correlation of background and resonant response.The limitations of traditional HFFB technology are only considering the first-order mode shape in a direction and assuming liner mode shape.Aimed at these limitations,the paper compares several kinds of methods of mode shape correction and modes coupling effects and also fits more reasonable mode shape correction formulas.The results of analyzing the example of the Guangzhou East Tower show that the structural responses will be more reasonable if considering the mode shape correction and modes coupling effects.This paper proposes a modified calculation method of the equivalent static wind load based on HFFB wind tunnel test technique.To compare with the traditional method,the calculation results of this new method are more accurate because of considering the correlation between the background and the resonant response.Actually,the paper verifies the effectiveness of the new method through analyzing the example of the Guangzhou East Tower.
