Asphalt pavement is a typical multi-layer composite system, whose mechanical properties not only connected with the material properties of each structure layer, also connected with the bond performance between layers.Studies on the early damage of asphalt pavemen show that the problem of combination between the layers of the asphalt pavement is an important cause of many road diseases. Therefore, studies on the structure behavior and performance that are more in line with the actual working condition of Asphalt Pavement should be based on the full consideration ofthe premise of the contact condition between layers.Homemade straight-shear experimental facility which can impose vertical compressive and tensile stress, three kinds testing methods tensile compress and shear,is used to study on asphalt pavement characteristics.Around the asphalt pavement adhesive layer, rigorously studies on adhesive layer oil dosage, temperature, mixture type, load and other factors which could affect interfacial characteristics. The results show that:there is the best amount of viscous oil,it varies with different test methods, pavement characteristics is sensitive to temperature changes,The relationship between Structure depth of different graded mixtures and interlaminar shear Performance is vague,The shear performance is significantly improved however and tensile strength decreased significantly With the increase of vertical load.Additionally according to the lower tangential behavior research of different temperat ure conditions, defining viscous shear effect between asphalt layer and using the method o f mathematical statistics to refine its description parameters of normal-tangential compre hensive behavior, build mathematical model.
