This paper is funded by the project (NO.12118015-7B) named “Developmentand application of the key parameters on-line monitoring system for large-size loadersduring assembling process based on the cycle time” from Guangxi Science Researchand Technology Development Program. After making a thorough investigation ofwheel loader experiments and virtual instrument technology, on-line detecting systemfor parameters of wheel loader based on virtual instrument technology, is designed.Firstly, in the paper, virtual instrument thought and modularity structure areconcluded. Secondly, detection items, which the wheel loader experiments contains,are confirmed and the detection device on unloading parameters and computerconsole on hydraulic pressure of wheel loader are designed. Thirdly, the hardware andhardware connection are detailedly described. Fourthly, through giving full play tothe advantages of graphic language, hydraulic pressure on-line detecting subsystemand unloading parameters on-line detecting subsystem based on LabVIEW arecompleted and module functions such as data acquisition, data processing, datastorage and report generation are achieved by this system. Fifthly, the database isconstructed, and the data interface between the program and database is designed.sixthly, the impact factors of system reliability are analyzed and the solutions onhardware and software are formulated. Finally, a whole run procedure of the system isdemonstrated. The system demonstrates the superiority of the measurement techniquebased on computer by combining data acquisition and instrument control, datastatistics and data display, data storage and database technique. The system has beenrunning in company and achieves the original design targets.
