In this study, the concentration data of 56 volatile organic compounds?VOCs?,nitrogen oxides?NOx?and ozone?O3?in Handan were monitored online by the atmospheric monitoring Station of Hebei University of Engineering for a long time. The online data from September 2017 to August 2018 were selected. The pollution characteristics of VOCs,O3 and NOx in Handan, the main sources of VOCs,the influence of VOCs on O3 generation and the influence of 8 kinds of toxic and harmful VOCs on human health were analyzed. The main conclusions are as follows:?1?During the monitoring period, alkanes, alkenes and alkyne were characterized by high in winter and low in summer, the concentration of aromatic hydrocarbon was slightly higher in autumn than in winter, the average concentration of each component was alkanes>aromatic>alkenes>alkyne, was characterized by high at night and low during the day.Isoprene is mainly emitted by plants during the daytime in various seasons, and the concentration in summer was 7.58 times that in winter.Based on the analysis of VOCs concentration during holidays and working days,it was found that the reduction of local source emissions during holidays play an important role in reducing pollutant concentration.?2?Through the ratio and correlation analysis of different VOCs species,it was found that various pollution sources such as traffic sources and industrial sources jointly affect the concentration of VOCs,and the source was far from the site.Isoprene was mainly emitted by motor vehicles in winter.Further analysis of VOCs sources by PMF resulted in five major sources:biomass combustion and industrial sources, use of solvent and volatilization, use of LPG/NG,diesel vehicle emission and gasoline vehicle emission.?3?During the monitoring period, the seasonal distribution of O3 concentration was characterized by summer?29.96 ppb?>spring?26.06 ppb?>autumn?20.15 ppb?>winter?9.55 ppb?.The annual average pollution concentration was 20.01 ppb, working days>weekends, the precursors NO,NO2 and NOx showed opposite characteristics.O3 in Handan was mainly controlled by NOx.The generation potential of VOCs components to O3 was alkenes?90.71 ppb?>aromatic?21.99 ppb?>alkanes?18.60 ppb?>alkyne?4.89 ppb?.?4?The eight toxic and harmful pollutants in VOCs didn't pose a non-carcinogenic risk to the human body.Ethylbenzene produced a negligible risk of carcinogenesis.Benzene,a class 1 carcinogen, caused possible carcinogenic risks in all seasons, and men were greater than women. The main sources of benzene were biomass combustion and industrial emissions gasoline vehicle emissions and the use of LPG/NG.
