Study On The Initiation Rite Clothing Of Ming Dynasty

With the development of courtesy culture for thousands of years,it has been deeply rooted in the Chinese thoughts.It not only guides the external behavior of individuals,but also builds a set of moral and ethical norms of inner cultivation.For the future development of the country’s culture,the construction of a harmonious society is essential,but also plays an important role in youth education.Initiation Rite is the most educational etiquette in the traditional Confucian etiquette culture,and it has always been an indispensable part of it since the pre-Qin Dynasty.In the Initiation Rite,clothing is not only regarded as a material representation of carrying the connotation of etiquette and passing good wishes,but also an important prop to the process of giving rights and responsibilities to young people.Through the study of Initiation Rite clothing,we can explore the traditional Initiation Rite culture from another angle,and also have some reference significance to the practice of modern Initiation Rite.The development of Initiation Rite culture has not been plain sailing,several times experienced serious fault,from the end of the Ming Dynasty almost disappeared,until the 1990 s,the folk only have Initiation Rite attempts.Ming Dynasty is the last time that the traditional adult ceremony has been fully revived and promoted,but there is not much research on the Ming Dynasty Initiation Rite,and the study of its Initiation Rite is very few.In fact,the Ming Dynasty not only carried out in-depth practice in Initiation Rite and dress,left a wealth of historical materials,but also its later Initiation Rite and the development and change of clothing also reflected the profound social trend and the change of etiquette thought.This topic is an important part of the ancient Chinese Initiation Rite culture which needs to be studied urgently.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part defines the concepts contained in the relevant Initiation Rite.The second part uses the method of literature research and comparative research to comb the formulation and modification of Initiation Rite dress in the Ming Dynasty,and compare it with the Tang and Song system.The third part uses the method of case study and logical argumentation research,expound the change and development of Initiation Rite in the middle and late Ming period,The third part uses the method of case study and logical argumentation research,explore the intersection of the Crowning Bachelors Rites and the development of the wedding in the late Ming Dynasty and the reasons for the development gap between the two final formation in the same broad category of adult ceremony.The fourth part explores the impact of the Ming Dynasty Initiation Rite culture on East Asian countries through data collection.The fifth part analyzes the current situation of Chinese modern Initiation Rite,carries on the case study,and carries on the practice of modern Initiation Rite dress design based on traditional dress.This paper makes a detailed analysis of the Ming Dynasty Initiation Rite from the aspect of clothing,explores its development and change and the internal and external driving forces of the change,and tries to make a deep theoretical exposition from the perspective of design,culture and history.It is intended to carry out some supplementary research on the study of adult etiquette clothing,to explore the cultural core of ancient adult etiquette,provide some theoretical support and reference for the development of modern youth etiquette culture education and modern Initiation Rite clothing.
