China's iron and steel industry,as a basic industry,occupies an extremely important position and is the most fundamental guarantee for the development of other industries.The iron and steel industry involves physical and chemical changes in the process of operation.The wastewater generated in the production process mainly contains phenol,cyanide,heavy metal,acid,alkali and other harmful substances.If untreated,once leaked into the aquifer,it is likely to pollute groundwater resources.Groundwater pollution is easy to be confused with surface water pollution.The former is highly concealed and difficult to reverse.If the pollution is received,it is highly required to thoroughly remove the source of pollution and achieve a better recovery in the later stage.It requires a large amount of capital and technical support,and it takes a long time.It is more likely to threaten the quality of life and physical health of the people living nearby.The research object of this paper is a steel plant in Chongqing.According to the investigation results,the waste water discharged by this steel plant has a great pollution risk if it leaks.In conclusion,the study of steel mills groundwater pollution has very important practical significance to find out the location of the pollution source,pollution in iron and steel works is the direction,scope,and the migration of pollutants in the groundwater concentration change,and the steel mills of groundwater pollution control and management to provide practical and effective way,has very important practical significance.The steel mill during the operation is bound to produce industrial wastewater,and the abnormal conditions in the event of sewage leakage,will inevitably produce great pollution to groundwater quality,this article on the basis of establish pollution factor,pollutant diffusion range and pollutant migration for the prediction and evaluation,and according to the results of prediction and evaluation of the plant area groundwater pollution reasonable control and management measures are put forward.The object of this paper is a steel plant in Chongqing.By collecting hydrologic,geological conditions,hydrogeological characteristics and other data,and combining field exploration,water level monitoring,hydrogeological testing and other methods,the hydrogeological conditions and the development and utilization of groundwater in this area are fully understood.On this basis,the hydrogeological conditions of the study area were generalized,and the mathematical model of groundwater pollution in the simulation area was established.The model was fitted and verified according to the measured water level data during the 91-day observation period.After constant modification of the parameters,a better fitting result was finally obtained.The solute transport model was established on the basis of the water flow model,and cyanide and petroleum were selected as predictors.In this study,Visual MODFLOW software was used to conduct numerical simulation of pollution factors in groundwater in the study area under a specific concentration.There are two kinds of prediction situations: pollution seepage prevention measures and pollution seepage prevention measures are taken to remove the pollution sources,and the pollution situation of cyanide and oil pollution factors during the operation period of the plant is predicted in order of 100 days,1000 days,3650 days and 7300 days.With the extension of time,the diffusion range of pollutants gradually increased.No pollution was caused by the Yangtze river water during the whole operation under any measures.In the case of anti-seepage measures and removal of pollution sources,the scope of the contaminated area is gradually reduced.According to the study of this project,during the abnormal operation of the steel plant,the leakage accident will occur,and the pollutants will affect the downstream area,causing a certain degree of pollution to the groundwater in this part of the area.However,the influence range of the overall pollutant was within the plant boundary during the operation period,and did not cause pollution to the outside of the plant boundary and the Yangtze river water body.However,it is still necessary to pay attention to the effects of cyanide and oil leakage on nearby water supply Wells and drinking water for residents.The safety and effective prevention and control measures are put forward in view of the long-term operation or accidental leakage of the steel plant and the complete failure of the leachate anti-seepage system.
