Research On Design Coming-of-age Ceremony Clothing Based On Cultural Inheritance

Coming-of-age ceremony is also known as "Capping Ceremony".It was honored as "Beginning of Rites" in ancient Chinese society.It plays a positive role in life,especially the growth of teenagers.It can effectively guide teenagers to transform social roles and understand the social responsibilities of adults.The research on coming-of-age ceremony has attracted the attention of the academic community along with the promotion and development of excellent traditional culture and the cultivation of cultural self-confidence for teenagers in China in recent years.As a material carrier,clothing carries the rich etiquette culture and the melody of the times.Therefore,the research on the coming-of-age ceremony fashion design plays a positive role in the inheritance of the Chinese excellent etiquette culture as well as the cultivation of cultural self-confidence for teenagers."Cultural heritage" is taken as the starting point to collect and arrange a lot of domestic and foreign literature about the research and design of the coming-of-age ceremony clothing in this paper.Some methods are adopted in the paper,such as the comparison of the development status of the coming-of-age ceremony clothing between China and foreign countries,the innovative design and arrangement of the coming-of-age ceremony clothing,the questionnaire survey research and design practice.It is aimed to analyze and explore the problems existing in the development of the Chinese coming-of-age ceremony clothing as well as some related solutions.It is hoped to provide a reasonable and effective theoretical and practical reference for the design of the contemporary Chinese coming-of-age ceremony clothing.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction.The research significance as well as the related concept is introduced and the basic information about the research is clarified in the paper.The origin of coming-of-age ceremony is expounded,the information about the development of the ancient Chinese coming-of-age ceremony is arranged and the composition of the traditional coming-of-age ceremony clothing is analyzed in the second chapter.The information about the contemporary Chinese coming-of-age ceremony as well as related clothing is collected and arranged in the third chapter.It is compared with the development status of the coming-of-age ceremony of some foreign countries to find out the reasons for the lack of the contemporary Chinese coming-of-age ceremony clothing culture in inheritance.The development status of the contemporary coming-of-age ceremony as well as related clothing and the problems existing in the design of the contemporary coming-of-age ceremony are analyzed through questionnaire survey in the fourth chapter.The method to apply the traditional clothing element to modern fashion design is summarized through case analysis in the fifth chapter,which provides a useful reference for the coming-of-age ceremony fashion design.The research and practice about the modern coming-of-age ceremony fashion design are carried out by combining the above research in the sixth chapter.The seventh chapter is the summary of this paper.The research shows that there are strict norms on the coming-of-age ceremony clothing in mature and developed countries.The traditional clothing is taken as the main form of expression in the Japanese and Korean coming-of-age ceremony clothing,which demonstrates national culture and national self-confidence fully.The English coming-of-age ceremony clothing is relatively focused on the combination between national culture and modern fashion.In contrast,there are many deficiencies in the contemporary Chinese coming-of-age ceremony fashion design.In view of the complicated forms of the traditional coming-of-age ceremony clothing,it is necessary for more professional researchers to carry out the exploration and practice about the development and design of the contemporary coming-of-age ceremony clothing in line with the aesthetic need of people as well as the requirements for the inheritance and promotion of the excellent traditional culture.
