Silicone softeners give fabrics excellent properties such as softness,smoothness,and good hand feeling,but there is still a problem of single style.WPU has the characteristics of wear resistance,strong adhesion,environmental protection,etc.If it is used,it will help improve the problems of silicone softeners.The subject uses chemical modification to embed polysiloxane in polyurethane macromolecules,aiming to combine the advantages of both silicone and polyurethane.Based on the selection of raw materials and the determination of the feeding methods,three different PUS with comb-like,micro-crosslinking and branched were designed and synthesized.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy?FT-IR?was used to characterize the prepolymers and final products synthesized at each step in the polymerization reaction;the particle size and the physical and chemical properties of the emulsion were used to evaluate the stability of the polymer emulsion;at the same time,PUS and PUS/PS composites are applied to the finishing of cotton fabrics.The fabric properties were characterized by testing methods such as fabric style?FAST?,wrinkle recovery angle,thermogravimetric?TG?analysis,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy?XPS?,and scanning electron microscope?SEM?.Experiments show that DS1E series PUS emulsion with polyether as the side long chain has better stability,and the cotton fabric has the best hydrophilicity after composite finishing;In the PUS emulsion,the silicone content is reduced,and the polyether content is correspondingly increased,but the hydrophilicity of the cotton fabric after PUS/PS composite finishing has not improved;Compared with PS-finished cotton fabrics,the hydrophilicity of PUS/PS composite emulsion-finished cotton fabrics has increased from 360.50s to 25.99s,the whiteness and wrinkle recovery angle of cotton fabrics are all improved,and the fabric compressibility and softness are slightly reduced,but the influence is small.HDI trimer micro-crosslinked PUS emulsion is stable;the surface of cotton fabric treated with PUS/PS composite emulsion is smooth and has high thermal stability;compared with PS treated cotton fabric,the whiteness,compressibility and softness of composite finishing cotton fabrics are not much different,its hydrophilicity and wrinkle recovery angle are significantly improved,and as the degree of PUS cross-linking increases,the wrinkle recovery angle of the cotton fabric after composite finishing is larger.Polyether micro-crosslinked PUS emulsion has a concentrated particle size distribution and a smaller particle size;compared with cotton fabrics treated with PS,the hydrophilicity of cotton fabrics treated with PUS/PS has increased from 360.50 to 18.09s,and fabric whiteness and hand feel,compressibility and bending are very close,the wrinkle recovery angle is increased from 9.1°to 40.1°.The stability of the branched PUS emulsion is slightly lower;compared to the cotton fabric after PS finishing,the whiteness and softness of the composite finishing cotton fabric have not changed much,the compressibility has slightly decreased,and the wrinkle recovery angle has increased significantly from 9.8°to 62.0°,the hydrophilicity of the fabric increases;With the decrease of polyether content in PUS,the content of organosilicon increased correspondingly,and the hydrophilicity of cotton fabrics after composite finishing was slightly higher.XPS shows that PUS and PS are more uniformly mixed;SEM and TG show that compared with the original cloth,the surface of the finished cotton fabric is smoother and the thermal stability is improved.Compared with PS-finished knitted cotton,polyester,and nylon/spandex,the hydrophilicity of the fabric after PUS/PS composite finishing is greatly improved,and the hydrophilicity of the fabric is more significantly improved with the increase of the PUS content.In the comb structure,DS1E-1/PS,DS2E-30/PS finishing has the most significant improvement in the hydrophilicity of nylon/spandex;In the micro-crosslinked structure,NHS1E-2/PS,NES1E-2/PS composite finishing has the most significant improvement in hydrophilicity of polyester and nylon/spandex;in the branched structure,BES1E-2significantly improves the hydrophilicity of polyester and nylon/spandex;BES2E-2significantly improves the hydrophilicity of nylon/spandex.
