The use of chemical pesticides can effectively control pests and increase crop yields.Higher pesticide usage per unit area will cause economic losses and also cause health risks to humans and other animals.Pesticide application is a comprehensive issue, related to social economy, agricultural production, natural conditions and other factors. However, scholars’ research is mostly focused on micro-levels such as agricultural growers and a single province, and there is a lack of comprehensive impact factors on pesticide use and regional differences. This article is based on various data, such as natural conditions, economic development, agricultural production, and scientific and technological levels.Using the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LMDI)to analyze the regional differences and influencing factors of pesticide use in the country and Liaoning Province. This study selects the relevant data of 31 provinces, these indicators involve 9 aspects such as natural conditions and national economy.Using cluster analysis to divide 31 provinces into 4 regions. They are the areas with low agricultural intensity of Chinese medicine(region 1),the areas with high agricultural intensity and high agricultural ratio(region 2),the areas with high agricultural intensity and low agricultural ratio(region 3),and the areas with low agricultural intensity and high agricultural ratio(region 4).Use Theil coefficient to calculate regional differences in pesticide use.Using regression analysis to screen pesticide-related indicators, then combine these indicators into new parameters.Calculate the Theil coefficient of pesticides with different parameters as weights. The results show that the differences in pesticide use in my country are mainly due to regional differences.Using LMDI method to analyze the influencing factors of pesticide use regional differences.LMDI decomposition model was established to decompose pesticide dosage into five effects. They are the pesticide use intensity effect, the per capita cultivated area effect, the population economic intensity effect, the industrial structure effect and the economic effect.Based on the decomposition results of the five effects,I analyze the influencing factors of pesticide consumption in the four regions. On the whole, the effects of economic development level, population economic intensity, and pesticide use intensity have promoted pesticide use and the effect has weakened year by year. The effect of industrial structure and the effect of per capita arable land area reduce pesticide use and the effect weakens year by year. Some conclusions can be drawn through the decomposition results of pesticide use in the four regions. It is the economic effect that plays a significant role in promoting the use of pesticides in Region 1,but the promotion effect gradually weakens. The economic effect and the effect of pesticide use intensity play a role in promoting the use of pesticides in Region 2 and 3.However,the promotion effect of economic effect is gradually increasing, while the effect of pesticide use intensity is opposite. The effect of the economy, the intensity of pesticide use and the per capita cultivated area have played a role in promoting the use of pesticides in Region 4.Among them, the promotion effect of economic effect is gradually enhanced, and the intensity of pesticide use and the per capita cultivated area are opposite.Use LMDI method to decompose pesticide dosage in Liaoning Province.Summarizes indicators related to pesticide use from 2013 to 2016,such as natural conditions, national economy, agricultural production, etc.Use regression analysis to screen for indicators that are significantly related to pesticide use and reorganize the indicators into new parameters.Decompose pesticide use into fruit pesticide use effect, agricultural structure effect, labor per capita output effect, labor force and machinery input ratio effect, agricultural machinery strength effect and cultivated land scale effect.Based on the decomposition results of the six effects, the main contributors to pesticide use in counties and cities can be obtained.Overall, the effect of the labor-mechanical input ratio and fruit pesticide use promoted pesticide use and the effect weakened in turn. The effect of the labor per capita output, agricultural machinery strength, farmland scale and agricultural structure reduced pesticide use and the effect weakened in turn.According to the decomposition results of pesticides in counties and cities, the 24 counties and cities with a higher contribution rate of fruit pesticide use effects are concentrated in the northern and southern regions of Liaoning Province. The 24 counties and cities with higher contribution rate of agricultural structural effects are concentrated in the central region. The 24 counties, cities and districts with high contribution ratios of labor force and mechanical input are concentrated in the central and southern regions.
