Indoor air quality(IAQ)has been attracted much attention because it takes more than 70%of human life on living in the indoor environment.Particle emitted from the kitchen is one major indoor particulate pollutant that poses a risk to human health. The study of the emission characteristics and transportation characteristics of pollutants is the primary basis for putting forward the control strategy of pollutants, which has a high research significance.Although some scholars have studied kitchen contaminants in recent years, the factors affecting the transmission of kitchen contaminants need to be further explored.Based on literature research and preliminary analysis,it is found that the spread of kitchen pollutants is mainly affected by outdoor meteorological parameters, ventilation mode in kitchen area, indoor doors and window opening and closing state, and indoor structure layouts of residential buildings. Therefore, this paper takes a residential house in Tianjin as the research carrier to explore the propagation characteristics of kitchen pollutants through experimental test and numerical simulation. Finally, the distribution of pollutants in typical kitchens in different climate zones was also analyzed.Outdoor weather parameters are an important factor in the ventilation mode.In this study, the outdoor meteorological parameters were monitored in real time through the micro weather station on the residential roof. The weather data of the whole year was statistically analyzed according to the seasonal changes. It was found that the outdoor wind speed was over 90%within 0 to 4 m/s.So in this interval, study of the spread of indoor kitchen contaminants is more practical.According to the different seasons, the ventilation mode of the house is determined, which is divided into infiltration ventilation and natural ventilation.Through experimental tests,in the infiltration ventilation mode, the indoor air exchange frequency is basically about 0.2 h-1.The indoor airflow is relatively stable and the indoor air quality is weakly affected by outdoor meteorological factors. Therefore, this study tested the average pollution level in each room.In the natural ventilation mode, the spread of kitchen pollutants is greatly affected by the outdoor wind speed and direction. It is mainly reflected in the magnitude of the relative exposure value and the rate of change in each zone. This paper analyzes the test data according to these two aspects. In addition, the multi-zone network model is used to expand the experimental test results. What’s more, the kitchen uses a range hood for mechanical ventilation. This paper proposes a performance test platform for the range hood to study the removal effect of the range hood.According to the indoor pollution situation, the effect of the state of the kitchen door and window on the pollutant transportation was studied.Closing the kitchen door and blocking the emission of pollution sources can significantly improve the air quality of other functional rooms.By comparing the different combinations of the interior doors of the house, the optimal combination of the opening and closing of the residential interior doors is analyzed as a residential air quality control strategy.
