The safety problems of coal mine enterprises have attracted more attention and the factors affecting the safety of miners were rather complicated.The extraordinary work intensity and the serious working environment under the deep well brought the great mental pressure to the miners.As the necessary labor protection equipment for underground work,the standard design rationality and the comfort experience of the mine safety helmet wearing played a crucial effect on the working and the production safety of the miners.Therefore,the innovative design of the mine safety helmet was carried on in this study based on the perceptual image evaluation.Firstly,the characteristics of mine safety helmet users and mining industry were analyzed and the matching process of mine safety helmet design emotional image and user image emotional demand was established.Data collection,questionnaire and interview were carried out to capture the image words of mine safety helmets.Moreover,the typical target image words were obtained with expert group discussion.Then,the mine safety helmet samples were divided into four design areas,including helmet shell,helmet lining,chin strap and accessory in this study.The design element analysis was conducted on these helmet samples and the typical design features of mine safety helmets were obtained using analytic hierarchy process.Furthermore,the perceptual image evaluation model of mine safety helmet is established based on BP neural network,with the typical design features of mine safety helmet as the input layer and the target image evaluation as the output layer.Finally,the design of mine safety helmet is continuously optimized based on the perceptual image evaluation model,and the mine safety helmet entity models were obtained.The innovative design of the mine safety helmet products based on the perceptual image evaluation improved the comfort of mine safety helmet and user experience.The product design in line with the perceptual image of miners avoided the unstable emotions of the miners generated by the underground operation.This would effectively reduce the accidents in the coal mine production.
