Llama is an animal that grows in the Andes in Peru,Bolivia,Argentina and Chile.Llama and alpaca belong to the Andean camel family.Due to their similar appearances, llamas and alpacas were often conflated before, thus failing to distinguish llama and alpaca wool. The coat of the llama's trunk is divided into two layers. The upper layer is relatively rough, with a diameter of up to 90 microns. The bottom layer has a layer of fine and soft fluff.Due to the protective effect of the upper layer, the bottom layer is soft and delicate. In the early years, due to the backwardness of carding and processing technology in South America,it was impossible to card out the fleece of the bottom of the llama, which caused the illusion of low value and low quality of llama hair processing, making llama hair a low-grade raw material.Secondly,as llama wool fibers are often confused with alpaca wool fibers, merchants will mix llama wool fibers with alpaca wool fibers, resulting in fluctuations in the quality of different batches of llama wool and not using subsequent processing.Based on the above reasons, the purpose of this project is to understand the special animal hair fiber and its products through the research of the properties and products of velvet fiber, and to design and develop the velvet fabric with excellent comprehensive performance. Therefore, the main research content of this paper is to further distinguish between velvet fiber and alpaca fiber through the comparison of the probability of medullary content and the content of medullary fiber;followed by a comprehensive comparative analysis of the performance of velvet fabric to find the best Design scheme; Finally,a new velvet fabric was designed and developed, and related performance was tested and compared to analyze the advantages of the newly developed products. In the analysis of the correlation between the fineness of llama cashmere fiber and alpaca fiber and the content of marrow,it can be concluded that the marrow content of llama cashmere fiber and alpaca fiber basically conforms to the basic performance characteristics of animal hair fiber, and according to The difference between the fineness of the two fibers and the relationship between the content of the pulp is found to distinguish the two fibers. The medullary probability of llama fiber and alpaca fiber is positively correlated with the diameter. The larger the diameter, the higher the medullary probability;but there is no obvious correlation between the medullary content of the two fibers and the fiber diameter. The difference is that The average pulp content of alpaca fiber is larger than that of velvet fiber,so the velvet fiber has good dyeability and high dyeing rate.Through the performance comparison of 7 kinds of velvet fabrics,in the llama/wool blended fabric,as the proportion of velvet fiber increases, the thickness of the fabric decreases, the burst strength increases, the air permeability decreases, and the wrinkle resistance decreases.Drapability deteriorates.Secondly, after analyzing the effects of the 30/70 wool/Llama and 30/70 rabbit hair/Llama weft yarns on the performance of the fabric: the wool/Llama weft yarn woven with the same blending ratio is more woven than the rabbit hair/Llama weft yarn The thickness of the fabric is large, the burst strength is small, the air permeability is large, the wrinkle resistance is good, and the drape property is good. The structure of the fabric has a great influence on the performance of the fabric.According to the comparison between the top twill and the bottom twill weave and the square flat fabric, the square fabric has a small thickness value,a high burst strength value, good drape, and poor wrinkle resistance.,Breathability becomes poor. Finally,we designed a velvet fabric with a square structure, using 70/30(Llama/wool)blended yarn as weft yarn, and 85/15(wool/nylon)blended yarn as warp yarn.Through the performance comparison test,it is found that the 50/45/5(Llama/Wool/Nylon)fabric has obvious advantages in thickness, bursting performance, pilling resistance and drape, but in terms of wrinkle resistance and breathability Slightly insufficient.
