The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has been plagued by air pollution problems for many years.Serious air pollution not only affects economic development, but also harms people's health.Adjustment of Industrial structure can coordinate the relationship between economic development and environmental protection.Studying the impact of changes in the industrial structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on air pollution emissions is of great significance for the coordinated development of BeijingTianjin-Hebei region.First, this paper analyzes the present situation of three industrial structures and air pollution emissions in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Analyzing the current situation of regional economic development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region through data, and compare it with the situation in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions;further calculate the industrial structure similarity coefficient and industrial structure upgrade coefficient of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and analyze Industrial structure differences and trends.Sort out the historical emission data of industrial sulfur dioxide and industrial smoke(dust)emissions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, use them to measure the degree of air pollution in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,and conduct an in-depth study on the spatial distribution pattern and change trend of these two types of air pollutants.Secondly, this research selects the industrial structure and air pollution emission data of the three provinces of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei from 1991 to 2017 to establish a vector autoregressive model of the proportion of secondary industry and industrial sulfur dioxide emissions, and analyze the driving direction of changes in industrial structure to air pollution. Then, based on the data of 13 cities in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei from 2003 to 2016 establishes a panel regression model, the industrial structure upgrade coefficient is used to proxy the industrial structure change index, the industrial sulfur dioxide emissions are used to characterize the air pollution status of each city, and the impact of other control variables on air pollution is comprehensively considered. Finally,This paper draws the following conclusions:(1)There is a significant correlation between the industrial structure and air pollution in the Beijing-TianjinHebei region. The impact and duration of changes in the industrial structure on atmospheric pollutant in different regions are different. In the short term, the industrial structure dominated by the secondary industry will deteriorate the air quality. However, with the adjustment of the industrial structure, the atmospheric environment quality will gradually improve in the long run.(2)The relationship between the air pollution and the upgrading coefficient of industrial structure in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei shows an inverted "U" curve. It is found that when the industrial structure upgrade coefficient is 2.128,it is just at the inflection point of the inverted "U" curve, and the air pollution emission level reaches the maximum value. At this time, the industrial structure is still dominated by the secondary industry, but at this stage, the air pollution emission levels of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei are already at the stage of decline on the right side of the inflection point.
