Situated in the ecologically sensitive zone at the piedmont of north Qinling Mountains, the source area of Chan River has important ecological functions such as water conservation and soil and water conservation. However,in recent years, the rapid economic development of Tangyu Town and Daiyu Town and other villages and towns in the region has brought about regional ecological damage problems such as river pollution and soil erosion. In view of the above problems, the main objective of this study is to solve the contradiction between economic development and ecological protection in the region from the land and spatial level.Firstly, through the analysis of landscape evolution, the paper finds out the fundamental contradictions in the region, then applies the ecological sensitivity evaluation tools to make the contradictions and problems of land use spatialized, finally, according to the evaluation results, spatial optimization strategy is put forward. The following four aspects of research work have been carried out in this paper.Firstly,it sorts and studies the theory of landscape pattern and process and the theory of ecological sensitivity, and the analytical framework from theory to practice has been constructed to guide the follow-up chapters(Chapter 2).Secondly,it analyzes the landscape pattern of different periods in the source area of Chan River, confirms the historical ecological problems and the area of human-land conflict, constructs the model of relationship from pattern to function, identifies the impaired functions of water conservation, water regulation, soil conservation, and biodiversity in the study area, and identifies the spatial pattern elements that can be used in ecological evaluation by correlation analysis(Chapter 3,Chapter 4).Thirdly,base on landscape evolution analysis and pattern elements identification, the ecological sensitivity evaluation system of the source area of Chan River is constructed.Applying evaluation tools, the identified pattern elements are evaluated, and the damaged areas and extent of ecological functions of the region are analyzed, that is,the area of human-land conflict(Chapter 5).Finally,based on the results of ecological sensitivity evaluation, spatial optimization strategy is put forward. In order to alleviate the human-land conflict and provide the basis for the followup construction planning, this paper puts forward optimization strategy for identified problem areas from macro, meso and micro scale, and carries out landscape restoration(Chapter 6).The conclusions of this paper are as follows.Firstly, seven spatial pattern factors of landscape ecological evaluation, including slope, topographic fluctuation, rainfall, soil type, vegetation coverage, land use type and river buffer zone are identified through the study of landscape evolution in the source area of Chan River, and historical research is integrated into landscape planning and design.Secondly,it identifies the areas with impaired ecological functions,i.e.the area of human-land conflict, concentrates in the alluvial fan area on both sides of rivers and in shallow mountain area through ecological sensitivity evaluation. Finally, based on the evaluation results, the macro-scale spatial structure majorization strategy, the meso-scale landscape ecological corridor construction strategy and the micro-scale typical node landscape optimization strategy are proposed.
