The optical glass is frequently-used in spacecraft,and it will suffer the space radiation environment when it operating in the orbit.With the development of China's space technology,long life satellite more and more used in tasks,and the on-orbit dose of optical material increased dramatically.In order to guarantee the on-orbit reliability of optical glass,it is necessary to obtain the radiation effect data that at the high doses range of optical glass and degradation rule of it,and test methods need also need to be further perfect,In This paper,we selected quartz(JGS1)and flint(QF)glass as the research object.And studied the glass material space radiation and the ground simulation test method of it.The JGS1 and QF maximum irradiation dose is 1×10~8rad(Si),Solved the spacecraft engineering requirements on radiation effect data of the material.Summarizes the JGS1 and QF glass`s radiation effect.According to the experimental results and analysis,the absorption peak index changing with the total dose radiation is in line with the index relationship.Annealing is appear in JGS1 and QF glass after Irradiation,the absorption peak that caused by irradiation annealing in line with the index relationship.The higher the temperature,the faster the annealing,so glass materials irradiation test generally shall be carried out at room temperature,or temperature is not higher than on-orbit use.On the basis of analyzing the glass spectrum that after irradiation,we analyzed the JGS1 and QF performance degradation mechanism and the origin of it.The JGS1glass in the irradiation dose range less than 3×10~6 rad(Si),there is no change of transmittance.When the irradiation dose greater than 6×10~6rad(Si),the material`s defects that the oxygen vacancy and nonbridging oxygen hole centers converted to color center,And respectively,at 5.8 eV and 4.5 eV appeared a new absorption peak because of the center.Absorption peak increase with the irradiation dose,and caused JGS1 glass transmittance lost in 200 nm to 400 nm band.For QF glass,when the irradiation dose reaches 3×10~3rad(Si),QF glass transmittance began to change significantly when the irradiation dose reaches 6×10~6 rad(Si),the transmittance along with the change of total dose tends to saturation.Through the analysis,resulting in decreased QF glass transmittance is the defects of chlorine molecular clearances and oxygen molecules clearances,the corresponding absorption band is 1.13 eV,1.64 eV and 2.6 eV,respectively.On the basis of summarize the optical glass radiation degradation rule and law of annealing,combining test dose rate effect datum,we analyzed the JGS1 and QF glass optical material radiation effect experiment method.The radiation effect of JGS1 and QF glass material test issue like the test environment,choice of dose rate,the influence of temperature etc.regulatory requirements is given.The radiation effect data and conclusions obtained in this study have been applied to the determination of parameters related to the ionization radiation effect test method of optical glass materials for spacecraft.
