Many factors will affect the color code of environment-friendly optical glass such as glass formula, the quality of materials and the way of melting. Among them, the control of color impurities is the most important and effective factor. This article researches into the contents of color impurities in transitional elements of environment-friendly optical glass in details. The common transitional elements as follow: Fe, Mn, Cr, Cu, Ni, Mo, Co etc. The article introduces the control index of ratio or semi-ration at the million grades for the bad impurities of optical glass, which has practical value and economic value in supervising optical glass manufacturing and improving the ratio of performance and price and its market competitive capacity of environment-friendly optical glass.
