Evolution And Innovative Design Of Ewenki National Costume

In 2010,a large stage play of original ecology Ao Lu Gu Ya in Beijing Poly Theater and the documentary film The Last Moose of Ao Lu Gu Ya later in Inner Mongolia introduced to the public its way of life and traditional costume of the little-known ethnic minority,Ewenki,which,for the historical migration,was divided into three tribes: Suolun,Shilu and Tonggusi.In 1958,according to the unanimous request of the Ewenki people,the three tribes were collectively called Ewenki by the Government,but the traditional costumes of the three tribes still retained their own cultural characteristics and differences.In this paper,an innovative scheme was designed by extracting the Ewenki costume elements to provide a feasible scheme for the better development and inheritance of national costumes in modern life.However,as a result of the distinct dressing ways of the three traditional Ewenki tribes,the outside world has no clear understanding of Ewenki costumes,so the extracting of three tribes' costume elements should start from the history of Ewenki.This paper tried to find out the cultural connotation and evolution process carried by the traditional costumes of the three tribes by sorting out the historical context of Ewenki,and to answer the styles and structural characteristics of national costumes by tracing the changing factors of Ewenki costumes with time line,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the reasonable extracting of traditional costume elements and design an innovative evidence-based scheme.The traditional costume elements of three tribes of Ewenki,including color,shape,fabric,pattern and craft were extracted,summarized and deeply analyzed by means of field investigation,combining physical objects with literature,comparative and inductive research method,and the costumes structure of three tribes was studied and painted by physical measurement.At present,the elements of traditional national costume and the unique cultural content are the inspiration for designers.Therefore,in view of the release shows of designers at home and abroad using Chinese traditional national costume elements,the author made a detailed analysis of the brand cases of the combination of national elements and modern silhouette as well as their expressions and methods of using traditional costume elements to extract the typical elements of the three Ewenki tribes' costumes,improved the design with modern design techniques and modeling features,and finally completed two sets of casual fashion womenwear of Ewenki costume elements.National costume is an important reference material for modern design and in turn,modern costume design theory provides theoretical support for the innovation of national costume.The innovative application of Ewenki costume elements will make the Ewenki national culture have better inheritance and development and also provide more materials and innovative possibilities for modern design.
