Research On The Influence Path Of Environmental Information Disclosure On Environmental Efficiency

With the development of social economy,people’s awareness of environmental protection has gradually improved,and they pay more attention to environmental pollution and respond positively a series of environmental protection policies issued by the state participate in environmental pollution control.In order to solve the problem of environmental pollution from the source,it is necessary to gradually disclose the relevant information of environmental pollution sources.China’s environmental information disclosure system has been implemented for more than 10 years.There are many studies on the impact of environmental information disclosure on environmental governance effect,but there are insufficient studies on how environmental information disclosure affects environmental governance to improve environmental efficiency.Therefore,by exploring the path of environmental information disclosure’s impact on environmental efficiency,this paper will enrich the research content related to environmental governance and provide reference for environmental pollution control measures.This research mainly from the following three aspects:(1)both at home and abroad on the basis of literature analysis,combined with the collaborative governance theory,asymmetric information theory and the theory of sustainable development,etc.,from the public,the government and enterprises such as the three behavior main body,to the public and the government’s direct and indirect behavior,enterprise behavior analyze internal motivation and external motivation and form on the impact of environmental information disclosure on environmental efficiency path;(2)in this paper,the environmental information disclosure index evaluation method and evaluation results,and then on to the three elements of human,capital and energy as the production function framework of join the expected output and the expected output indicators,building environmental efficiency measurement system,through the SBM-DEA model to our country in 2011-2017 panel data of 29 provinces and autonomous regions to measure the efficiency of environment;(3)Tobit regression model was used to conduct empirical research on the path of environmental information disclosure’s impact on environmental efficiency.The results show that :(1)in the past 10 years,the environmental information disclosure index of various regions in China is on the rise,and the environmental information disclosure is gradually recognized and the level of disclosure is getting higher and higher.(2)Environmental information disclosure has a positive driving effect on environmental efficiency,but the direct effect is not significant;(3)After the disclosure of environmental information,the public helps the government and enterprises to take environmental governance measures by regulating their own behaviors and participating in environmental supervision;(4)The government guides enterprises to improve production technology and increase investment in pollution control through industrial structure adjustment and environmental regulation policies,so as to improve environmental efficiency.However,the adjustment of industrial structure has no significant impact on environmental efficiency;(5)Under the dual influence of internal power and external pressure,enterprises adopt clean energy to reduce the generation of pollutants from the source,increase research funding,improve pollution control level,and thus improve environmental efficiency.
