Polyether ether ketone(PEEK)is one of the engineering plastics with great application potential at present.It has the advantages of good mechanical properties,good thermal stability,good machinability,etc.,but it is still limited when it is used in the occasions requiring high friction and wear property.Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),also known as Teflon,has a very low coefficient of friction and is often used as a filler to improve the friction properties of composite materials.Hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)has a network structure composed of nitrogen and boron,and has good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity.Molybdenum disulfide(MoS2)has a layered structure similar to graphite with a low friction coefficient and is often used as a solid lubricant.Therefore,in this paper,h-BN,MoS2 and PTFE are used as fillers to blend and modify PEEK to improve the comprehensive performance of the composite and broaden its application fields.This article focuses on the preparation of PEEK composite materials and the study of mechanical properties,friction and wear properties,according to the proportion of each material designed by orthogonal test,using compression molding process to prepare samples.The inorganic particles in the filler are modified,and the modified inorganic particles are prepared as samples.The tensile strength,Shaw hardness and density of each sample were tested,and the tensile strength of some samples was simulated by ABAQUS to analyze the influence of each filler on the tensile property of the material.Test the friction and wear performance of each sample,and through the analysis of the friction coefficient and wear amount of the sample,the effect of each filler on the friction and wear performance of the composite material is obtained.The results show that the addition of PTFE can reduce the hardness of the composite,increase the density and wear of the material,but reduce the friction coefficient of the material.Adding inorganic particles will increase the density of the composite material.The hardness of the composite material has no definite relationship with the amount of inorganic particles added.Modification of the inorganic particles can improve the tensile strength of the material.The filling amount of inorganic particles increases,and the friction coefficient of the material decreases.There is a certain correlation between the wear amount of composite and Shaw hardness.In the process of friction test,composite materials will have adhesive wear and abrasive wear,which is mainly caused by inorganic particles.The addition of h-BN can improve the adhesive wear of materials.The range analysis results of various performance tests of the composite material showed that the maximum horizontal combination of Shaw hardness of the composite material was A1B3C2,the lowest horizontal combination of friction coefficient was A3B3C3,and the lowest horizontal combination of wear amount was A1B3C2. |
