Nowadays,the fossil energy consumption and deterioration of ecological environment seriously,developing and utilizing of the new energy of biomass has become a trend in the future.The planting areas of sugar-cane are wide properly in our country,and sugar mud is abundant as one of the by-products,which generated in the process of sugar manufacturing.Sugar mud should be squeezed to reduce the moisture content further while it regarded as raw material.Now a problem with the relation between energy consumption and efficiency we are facing,therefore,the researching of properties of sugar mud and the theory of dehydration,and the analyzing of the structure of equipment has a vital practical significance and engineering application value.This paper devotes to research the properties of sugar mud dehydration to solve the problem with efficiency and energy consumption for improving the performance of screw structure on basic of it,which suits for the dehydration of sugar mud better.Firstly,the theory of filter press is researched deeply,mastering the relation between filtration and squeezing and the three basic forms of filtration to make preparations for the following experiment.At the basic of physical properties of sugar mud,including density,viscosity,etc,the constant pressure filtration resistance and compressibility coefficient can be calculated from experiment with sugar mud as the raw material which making use of the experimental device of self-designed to perform a dehydration experiment and record and analyze the data of experiment in the process of it,which combining with the theory of dehydration of one-dimensional press.The single factor is studied with the problem of affecting the dehydration rate of sugar mud,and the experimental data shows that: The whole dehydration rate of sugar mud under the variable pressure is higher than under the constant pressure;The dehydration rate of sugar mud is lower with the increase of the mass while the pressure asserted within the scope of pressure;The dehydration rate of sugar mud will appear to up firstly and then down with the increase of pressure while the mass within 600 gram asserted,on the contrary,The dehydration rate increases for the increasing of pressure when the mass exceeds 600 gram.Finally,the relation between dehydration rate and partial effecting factors is presented by mathematical model according to the theory of filter pressing.The structure,working principle and the characteristics of the equipment of screw press are focused on research,calculating the axial force,radial force and tangential force with each spiral blade.The screw structure should be analyzed to verify that the strength of structure meets the requirements by means of Workbench;The screw structure should be optimized that adopting the method of parametric modeling to get the optimal pore size and the thickness of blade;In order to avoid the resonance when the screw structure working,the modal of the optimized screw structure should be analyzed.
