The paper demonstrates the feasibility of applying ex-service electric vehicle battery to standby power supply system of iron tower base station,verified in combination with the experiment station location,which will eventually apply echelon batteries widely to communication base station.This paper briefly describes the relationship between the project and the development direction of the national strategy,and the close relationship between the project and the green economy,low carbon economy and circular economy advocated by the government.Combined with the development trend of electric vehicle,the development trend of ex-service battery is discussed.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of the experimental data of power battery life cycle characteristics and the practical application data of ex-service battery,various conditions of iron tower base station back-up power system,the dismantling and recycling of scrap batteries,as well as a variety of market data,in the perspective of the technical feasibility and market economic value,the comprehensive economic benefit curve is given under the premise of different application conditions,different ex-service battery characteristics,different purchase price and different scrap battery residual value.From technical aspect,it demonstrates that the echelon battery can be directly used in communication base station,and analyzes the advantages by contrast of the echelon battery and the traditional lead-acid battery.In terms of economy,the benefit of different operating conditions and the applicable field of ex-service battery with different cycle life are given.The results show that application of ex-service batteries in the iron tower backup power can be profitable in most working conditions,especially in the new energy and peak shaving conditions.The minimum annual profit rate can reach 44.74% and 37.35% respectively.With the development of electric vehicles,the quality of the power battery will continuously progress,and the profit space of the application of ex-service battery will become bigger.Finally,the conclusions and suggestions are given,including efforts to increase and strengthen the batch,strengthen the construction of experimental station and demonstration station,establish a national big data center and build echelon use research & development center.
