Acrylate rubber(ACM)is a saturated polar rubber with excellent oil resistance and aging resistance. It is widely used in automotive oil seal products and has the reputation of "automobile adhesive".There are many types of ACM.The commonly used ACM is chemically catalyzed emulsion polymerization of chlorine-containing polyamine crosslinked ACM.Radiation emulsion polymerization is a new synthesis process that does not require the use of catalysts. The carboxylic acid type ACM synthesized by the radiation emulsion polymerization method(hereinafter referred to as the radiation method)is rarely used in actual production. This article mainly studies the structural and performance differences between domestic radiation emulsion polymerization ACM and chemically catalyzed emulsion polymerization ACM at home and abroad, and takes the formulation of automobile oil resistant hose as the research object to optimize the formulation and process to overcome the shortcomings of radiation emulsion polymerization ACM and make the hose The performance reaches the performance of hoses made from similar foreign rubber.First, degree of branching, processability and mechanical properties of carboxylic acid type Acrylate rubber synthesized by radiation emulsion polymerization were evaluated, and comparing the performance of ACM synthesized by chemical method, the advantages and disadvantages of ACM synthesized by radiation method were found out.The results showed that the three ACMs synthesized by radiation emulsion polymerization have similar branching degrees,,and the branching degree is lower than that of NOK's PA-522 HF,and the processing performance is slightly better;the Mooney viscosity of ACM synthesized by radiation method was slightly higher and the crosslinking was low,but the optimum curing time was short;ACM synthesized by radiation method had high tensile strength, tear strength, and high temperature and oil resistance, but the compression set was large, and the performance was degraded after theThermo-oxidative aging.Second,Then, the types and dosages of accelerator and vulcanizing agent in the formula were optimized. The research results show that among the four selected accelerators DOTG-75 GA,ACT-70 GA,HPCA-50 GA and XLA-60 GA,DOTG-75 GA has the fastest speed of vulcanization by radiation ACM,but the scorch time is short-70 GA,HPCA-50 GA and XLA-60 GA have the same accelerated vulcanization speed, but the positive vulcanization time is longer than DOTG;the physical and mechanical properties of the radiation method ACM of four accelerators to promote vulcanization are not very different.Vulcanizates have the best high temperature oil resistance,HPCA-50 ACM promotes vulcanization ACM vulcanizates have the best heat aging resistance, but three environmentally friendly accelerators ACT-70 GA,HPCA-50 GA and XLA-60 GA promote vulcanization ACM vulcanizate compression The permanent deformation is larger than that of DOTG compound;when the amount of No.1 vulcanizing agent is 1.3 parts, the accelerator is ACT-70 GA / HPCA-50 GA and the combined use ratio is 1/1,the radiation method ACM vulcanized rubber has excellent performance. Finally, the experimental study determined the suitable one-stage and two-stage vulcanization conditions for the radiation method ACM.The experimental results show that increasing the first-stage vulcanization temperature and the second-stage vulcanization temperature can significantly accelerate the vulcanization speed, the hardness of the vulcanized rubber is significantly increased, but the tensile strength is slightly reduced, the aging resistance of the vulcanized rubber and the permanent deformation of compression The performance is obviously improved, and the oil resistance is improved;extending the second-stage vulcanization time can significantly improve the high-temperature performance of the vulcanized rubber. When the firststage vulcanization temperature is 150 ?,the second-stage vulcanization temperature is 170 ?,and the second-stage vulcanization time is 12 h,the physical properties of the vulcanized rubber are excellent.
