The chemical engineering fusion course based on project-based learning is a new type of teaching model research under STEM education, which aims to train students'engineering literacy, scientific literacy and humanities literacy.Based on chemical engineering processes,on the basis of project-based learning methods, this article develops a Project Course-"Making a Colorful World",which integrates science, technology, engineering, mathematics, history, art, humanities and other subject knowledge. The development of the course is based on the existing knowledge level of the students, and use"traditional Chinese traditional paint production" as a research carrier, aiming at improving students' comprehensive literacy from the perspectives of engineering, science, and humanities. In the study, the curriculum is practiced through actual classroom teaching, and the curriculum is evaluated using multiple evaluation methods. The conclusions of this study as follow:(1)The systematic training of engineering thinking can improve the core literacy of students and expand the students' thinking mode, which makes them think more comprehensively during the learning process.(2)Real and meaningful project learning can stimulate students 'interest in learning and students can discover problems, solve problems in a timely manner,so which can improve students' the ability of solving problem.(3)Diversified learning methods enable students to learn more deeply, and different learning methods will bring students different learning experiences.Meanwhile, students can find more suitable ways for them,so they will pay more attention to learn.(4)Learning from multiple integration perspectives not only changes students'learning methods, but also cultivates their comprehensive qualities.
