| As China’s second largest freshwater lake,as well as an important storage lake in the Yangtze River Basin and an internationally important wetland,Dongting Lake is responsible for ensuring ecological security.However,in recent years,due to the impact of climate change,changes in the relationship between rivers and lakes,and human activities,the status quo of the ecological environment of the Dongting Lake is facing a crisis,and an ecological compensation mechanism is urgently needed to respond.Based on the CVM conditional value method,this paper takes the residents’willingness to pay for ecological compensation in the Dongting Lake Basin as a research object.Dongting Lake Basin A questionnaire survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews to collect and sort out the residents ’willingness to pay in the Dongting Lake Basin.The residents’ willingness to pay was estimated using non-parametric methods and analysis of influencing factors.With a view to providing basis and reference for the calculation of the ecological compensation standards of the Dongting Lake Basin,improving the ecological compensation mechanism of the Dongting Lake Basin,promoting the fair use of water environmental resources in the Dongting Lake Basin,improving the ecological environment of the Dongting Lake water basin,and implementing the resources available for the Dongting Lake Basin Sustainable development.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)This paper uses non-parametric estimation to calculate the willingness of residents to pay for ecological compensation in the Dongting Lake basin.By calculating 614 valid sample data,the result is 114.35 yuan/person*year,which indicates that the residents of the Dongting Lake basin are willing to pay per person per year 114.35 yuan for the water eco-environment service provider of Dongting Lake Basin to purchase water eco-environment service of Dongting Lake basin.(2)Based on the CVM conditional value method,in order to effectively analyze the willingness to pay for ecological compensation for the residents of the Dongting Lake basin,five categories of influencing factors are classified as "basic characteristics","place of residence characteristics","water environment awareness","status evaluation",and "psychological expectations" Regression analysis of residents’willingness to pay WTP was performed with 15 influencing factors.Empirical research shows that education level has a very significant positive impact on residents ’willingness to pay(WTP);length of residence,water environment property rights awareness,policy understanding,and government governance expectations have a very significant positive impact on WTP;current water quality,vegetation coverage It has a significant negative impact on the residents’willingness to pay for ecological compensation in the Dongting Lake Basin;the distance from the residence to the Dongting Lake has a very significant negative impact on the residents’willingness to compensate.(3)Based on the research conclusions of the residents’ willingness to pay for ecological compensation in the Dongting Lake basin,combined with the current status of ecological compensation in the Dongting Lake basin in Hunan Province,put forward four suggestions:First,strengthen the promotion of the ecological compensation policy for the Dongting Lake basin,and expand the ecological compensation Ways for public participation;Second,choose a reasonable basis for calculation and scientifically calculate the ecological compensation standards of the Dongting Lake Basin;third,introduce NGO compensation as a beneficial supplement to reduce the transaction costs of ecological compensation for the Dongting Lake basin;fourth,establish a unified Dongting Lake Watershed environmental governance and management institutions. |
