| Folk kiln in Liling has a kiln management system of"Keep porcelain pieces away from ground or river" since it was established.Each kiln factory rents mountain tops to dump waste porcelain pieces,which forms unique porcelain pieces accumulations in mountain forest of the core area.The accumulations of blue and white porcelain pieces in Weishan of Liling lie in remote locations resulting in unclear regional culture,difficulty in development and other problems.Under the background of rural rejuvenation and integration of culture and tourism,carrying out the design practice aimed at promoting the accumulation culture of blue and white porcelain in Weishan of Liling can promote the widespread cognition and deepening of acceptance in the development of cultural tourism in the region.Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the sampling pieces from the accumulations of blue and white porcelain pieces in Weishan of Liling,and the comparative study with other blue and white porcelain pieces in China,it is found that the blue and white porcelain pieces in Weishan of Liling originated from folk porcelain artists,which first started in the Ming Dynasty and Weishan of Liling is the birthplace of Hunan blue and white porcelain industry in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.The porcelain wares are for the daily use of folk life,including fresh,can,miscellaneous and other types of wares painted with two types of patterns:One is auspicious and blessing pattern,mainly including plant pattern,character"Shou"(“寿”in Chinese meaning"longevity")pattern,sheep pattern;The other is character pattern,including central pattern,bottom stamp pattern,and auspicious-word pattern,in white glaze with blue pattern style.Based on the current situation of reuse of waste porcelain pieces at home and abroad,combined with the related literature and questionnaire results of cultural protection and cultural tourism development,this paper puts forward protectiveness,education and culture promotion these design principles,and the design methods of shape fitting,symbol transformation,scene interpretation,etc.It establishes a series of design practices based on exhibition hall space,teahouse space and restaurant space.In terms of the exhibition hall series,after the porcelain pieces’ edges are polished by the water spray cutting process and shape fitting method,the same type porcelain pieces are framed up and matched.They are used for the analysis of the research result,and displayed in Weishan Museum of Liling.For the teahouse series,the broken porcelains as bases or frames are kneaded into the cement,and the porcelain pieces as decoration are inlaid into the cement,then the tea table was formed by the clay injection molding process.In addition,the water jet cutting process which is suitable for the blue and white porcelain pieces,and shape fitting method are used to polish the edge of the pieces.Then the cement-embedded porcelain panels made by clay injection molding process and inlay process,together with wood and porcelains,are made into a dry foam table.On the basis of the above theoretical research,it analyzes and summarizes the ornamentation elements and features of blue and white porcelain pieces,extracts the features,and completes a series of graphic visual patterns by redesigning.For the restaurant series,it applies redesign pattern in the earlier stage to porcelain plates,porcelain cups,coaster with ceramic and cork,refrigerator stickers and 3D decorative furnishings.To some extent,the above achievements have realized the reuse of blue and white porcelain pieces and the expansion design of cultural elements based on blue and white porcelain pieces,which provides a new idea for the furnishings design with blue and white porcelain pieces from Weishan of Liling. |
