With the gradual improvement of China's capital market,divestiture as a way of asset restructuring is being more and more used by enterprises.However,in the current theoretical field,the literature on the motivation and performance of asset divestiture is not rich,and there is no consensus on how asset divestiture affects enterprise performance.This paper studies the divestment of assets in Sichuan Shuangma Cement Co.,Ltd Firstly,this paper introduces the background of the current cement industry,expounds the necessity of asset stripping in the cement industry,and makes a systematic introduction to the current theoretical research status.Secondly,This paper constructs the mechanism of the impact of asset divestiture on equity structure,main business structure,main business competitiveness and company value,and selects the corresponding indicators to evaluate the economic effect of asset divestiture.Then,this paper introduces the process of Sichuan Shuangma divestiture in detail,and analyzes the background of Sichuan Shuangma's divestiture.Thirdly,from the perspective of theory,this paper puts forward the strategic reasons and verifies them,which are raising the necessary capital for the transformation,restructuring the company's business system and improving the operating efficiency Finally,according to the impact mechanism analysis and evaluation index,this paper selects the relevant data to make a one-by-one test of the effect of asset stripping.Finally,this paper finds that short-term effect is significant,divestiture promotes the diversification of enterprise,chooses the appropriate assignee and chooses the best time.Then this paper summarizes generality for other cement enterprises or other enterprises faced to difficulties to provide feasible scheme of assets,in order to allow them to improve business competitiveness and achieve strategic transformation.
