The US sanctions against Russia began in 2012,and since 2014,the Crimean issue as the fuse,Western countries led by the US have imposed multiple rounds of economic sanctions against Russia,involving finance,trade,energy,defense and other fields.Among them,in terms of energy,the United States sanctions Russia a distinctive feature is targeted,seize the Russian oil industry high production costs,the decline in conventional reserves of this weakness,focusing on sanctions Russia in deep-sea drilling,Arctic exploration and shale oil and gas projects,and these projects are the focus of Russian oil company in the exploration and development.The US sanctions against Russia are based on multiple causes.Apart from the Crimea issue,the US has long had a Cold War mentality with Russia and the US regards Russia as the biggest threat to NATO.The economic sanctions imposed by the US on the Russian oil industry are not to directly attack Russia's conventional crude oil production and sales,but to target Russia's weak links that are vulnerable to economic sanctions and seek more long-term effect of economic sanctions.The US economic sanctions have blocked Russian oil exports,reduced employment,reduced income,accelerated the depreciation of the ruble and delayed the pace of the Russian economic recovery.As an international student from Russia,from the perspective of the motherland Russia,deeply analyze the background and reasons of US sanctions against Russia,study the specific measures of sanctions,and analyze the impact of sanctions on various fields of Russia,especially oil exports,on this basis,Russia's response to the United States economic sanctions strategy,understanding of Russia's economic development in the external environment,break through the United States and Europe and other countries multiple containment and economic blockade,weaken the effect of sanctions,has a high theoretical value and practical significance.The thesis is divided into a preface,five chapters of the main text,and a conclusion,which has seven parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic selection,combs the relevant research literature,and points out the main content and research methods of this thesis.The second part is the theoretical basis of the thesis research,which covers the factor endowment theory and the changes in interests of trade sanctions.The third part analyzes the status of Russian oil exports,including the advantages of the Russian oil industry,the scale of Russian oil exports,and the distribution of Russian oil export countries.The fourth part analyzes the reasons and specific measures of economic sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia,including visa bans and asset freezes on Russian individuals and entities,and the prohibition of the export of equipment,materials,services,or technologies for oil exploration and mining to Russia,and Restrict financial transactions,etc.The fifth part analyzes the impact of US economic sanctions against Russia on Russian oil exports.This chapter is also the main content of this thesis,which analyzes in depth from the direct and indirect impacts.The sixth part proposes strategies for Russian oil exports to respond to US economic sanctions,including finding alternative export markets,import substitution in petroleum equipment and technology,expanding the level of the oil industry to attract foreign direct investment,actively developing oil deep processing,and adjusting the levy on the oil industry Tax policy.The last part is the conclusion part of the thesis.
