Research On The Application Of Van Gogh Painting Elements In Women's Wear Design

The application of van Gogh painting elements in women's clothing design first appeared in the spring and summer design of Yves Saint Laurent in 1988.Since then,this kind of design theme has been paid more and more attention in the field of western clothing design,and more and more designers are obtaining inspiration from Van Gogh's paintings.In recent years,Van Gogh painting art has received extensive attention from all walks of life,as well as the rise of retro and artistic trend,so that many domestic designers more and more in favor of Van Gogh painting works.Striving to explore inspiration from the painting elements to find a new innovative perspective has gradually become a mainstream expression in the field of modern design creation.After systematically combing the aesthetic characteristics of Van Gogh's painting theme and color,especially the aesthetic characteristics of sunflower,self-portrait and iris,as well as the expression forms of Van gogh painting elements in women's clothing,the topic of "the application of Van Gogh painting elements in women's wear design" is studied in three parts by combining theory with practice.First of all,starting with the theoretical researches,collect the theoretical data about Van Gogh's painting art at home and abroad,find out the relevant research results to lay the theoretical foundation for the ready-to-wear creation after this.Secondly,through the case analysis,this paper deeply studies the application of Van Gogh painting elements in clothing design,and analyzes and summarizes the application forms of van Gogh painting elements in clothing,including direct application,indirect citation and so on.Further more,through the concrete analysis of Van Gogh's painting elements in women's clothing patterns and colors,the author grasps the application of Van Gogh's pattern on the women's clothing,including direct expression and indirect expression,the application of the color in the dress is mainly the single-color extraction design and the contrast-color extraction design.Finally,is the practical creation.The author chooses cheongsam as the carrier of design expression.Combine with personal aesthetics,design style to find the balance point between Van Gogh's painting art and cheongsam first.And then,determine the clothing style as well as draw a series of effect drawings.After then make the blank sample of ready-to-wear,adjust the layout to achieve satisfactory results,and complete the ready-to-wear.Through the theoretical research and practice,the author believes that the combination of the Van Gogh painting elements and the cheongsam design is an innovative attempt.Because of the mutual collision of the two kinds of classic art,it is a great challenge in the style of integration and innovation.In the style design,my work has retained the shape design of the traditional cheongsam,its expression gives the improvement of the richness in the shape of the cheongsam,by adopting the asymmetrical and the different materials.On the treatment of the Van Gogh painting element,it is integrated into the pattern and color design of the fabric,which is presented in a way of comparison of the metaphor.It shows a different style of the cheongsam.
