Biomass energy is the fourth largest energy resource after oil, coal and natural gas in the world. As one of the important emission sources of air pollution, the burning of biomass generate a large number of gaseous and particulate pollutants, with affected air quality and reduced atmospheric visibility, and has adverse healthy impacts.Henan Province,as a major agricultural province in China, produces a large number of field straws every year.In recent years, although Henan Province has abundant straw resource as well as utilization technology and subsidies policies, but annual amount of biomass open burning or energy use of straws as household fuel for cooking in rural households are still large.Open burning of agricultural straw is not only a cause of environmental pollution, but also a waste of biomass resources.Straw solidification molding technology and straw biogas technology?household biogas digester?can effectively reduce the emission of pollutants by improving the characteristics and energy density of raw material. The objective of this work is to study the contribution of open burning of straw and household burning of agricultural and forestry biomass to atmospheric pollution in Henan Province, and to explore the environmental and economic feasibility of straw solidification technology and straw biogas technology replacing open-air burning of straw and burning of straw household cooking respectively:?1?Combined with policies and regulations and other factors, several reduction scenarios for pollutant emission in Henan area were set up?all household burning of straws used for cooking in rural areas were replaced by biogas, and straw which burned in the open air in the farmland was solidified in proportion to make shaped fuel for Farmers use?,through the production of relevant scenario emission inventories,it is found that, this reduction scenarios for pollutant emission can reduce SO2,PM2.5,PM10,CO,NO2,NH3 and O3 in the province's atmosphere to varying degrees throughout the year.?2?Using the source-orientated air quality model based on the WRF-CMAQ model system, the effects of open burning of straw and household combustion of agricultural and forestry biomass on the air pollution in Henan Province in May,June and October 2016 were discussed. The results show that from the perspective of daily average value, the average daily particulate emissions from open burning of straw and household combustion of agricultural and forestry biomass in Henan Province in May,June and October accounted for 2.3%-2.4%and about 3%-4%respective of the daily average particulate emissions in the corresponding month?3?Using the traditional air quality model to simulate the baseline scenario and the emission reduction scenario respectively,it was found that the emission reduction scenario simulated by the CMAQ system has a good effect on the daily average reduction of particulate matter in the province's atmosphere, but There is no obvious reduction for SO2?CO?NO2?NH3and O3.?4?A cost-revenue analysis of the practical feasibility of the straw solidification molding and straw biogas technology projects in the reduction scenario is carried out,and it is concluded that the lowest unit price of the straw solidification plant to maintain no loss during the service life of the equipment is about 463.63 yuan. The higher the unit price, the shorter the number of days the company can return to the market. In the use of household biogas digesters throughout the life span, the benefits that farmers get from them are not obvious. That is to say, household biogas digesters are difficult to implement from an economic perspective without government subsidies.
