In modern society,rubber and metal bonding play an important role in many fields,such as military industry,bridges,machinery manufacturing,lighting,such as the connection of shock absorbers,tank track version glue,aviation oil seals,and so on.This type of rubber-metal adhesive has both high strength and durability of metal materials,and shock absorption and wear resistance of rubber materials.Among many rubber and metal bonding methods,thermal vulcanization bonding is one of the most commonly used bonding methods due to its simple process and high bonding strength.In the 1950 s,the exploration and research of solvent-based heat-curing adhesives began abroad,but the domestic start was relatively late,and in the actual use process,interface debonding often occurred,which could not meet the complex use conditions.Based on the above current situation,the author of this article conducts research on traditional thermal curing adhesives: Glumlock 205 for undercoating and Glumlock 220 for topcoating produced by Lord,USA.The main research contents are as follows:(1)First,by means of gel chromatography,infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and thermogravimetric analysis,the component analysis of the undercoat chemlock 205 and the topcoat chemlock 220 was performed.The results showed that: The organic substances in the adhesive are phenolic resin and neoprene.The filler components mainly include zinc oxide and titanium dioxide,and zinc oxide and titanium dioxide together account for 23.96% of the total solid content,and the organic component accounts for about 76.04% of the total solid content.It is estimated that Chemlock 220 The organic material of the adhesive is butadiene rubber,and the filler is mainly lead oxide and carbon black.Lead oxide accounts for about 1.43% of the total solid content,carbon black accounts for about 32.41% of the total solid content,and the butadiene rubber part accounts for about 66.16% of the total solid content.(2)Secondly,starting from the rubber / adhesive and metal / adhesive side,the effects of vulcanization pressure,metal surface treatment,and spray method on the bonding strength were explored.The results show that with vulcanization pressure,the vulcanization pressure increases as the vulcanization pressure increases.The peeling strength decreases first,then increases,and finally stabilizes.The optimal vulcanization pressure is 14 MPa.When processing steel,the surface of the steel is sandblasted at an angle of 135 ° to the peeling direction of the rubber-metal structure.When the adhesive is applied,the primer Chemlock 205 is first applied in the peeling direction of the rubber-metal structure,and then applied perpendicular to the peeling direction of the rubber-metal structure.This method can effectively improve the bonding strength of natural rubber / steel.The pressure required to reach the maximum bonding strength was reduced from 16 MPa to 14 MPa.(3)Next,based on the characterization of the Chemloc 205 adhesive composition,powdered nitrile rubber and powdered carboxyl nitrile rubber were selected to toughen the primer Chemloc 205.The results showed that: Under the premise of adhesive properties,the impact strength of powdered nitrile rubber content Chemlok 205 adhesive is 2wt%,the maximum impact strength is 3.41 k J / m2,which is 251% higher than unmodified.The powdered carboxyl nitrile rubber content is At 2wt% of Molock 205 adhesive,the maximum impact strength is 3.86 k J / m2,which is 298% higher than the unmodified.And because of the reactivity between powdered carboxyl nitrile rubber and Chemlock 205,its toughening effect is better at the same content.(4)Finally,on the basis of characterizing the composition of Kemlok 220 adhesive,aluminum nitride modified by silane coupling agents KH550 and KH590 was used to conduct thermal modification,and when Kem550 / Al N and KH590 / Al N modified Kemlok 220,Only when the content of Al N particles is less than 10 parts,the adhesive parts are still damaged by the rubber body,and the thermal conductivity is improved: the thermal conductivity of KH590 / Al N modified Kemlock 220 is higher than that of unmodified Kemlock 220 Increased by 7.67%,the thermal conductivity of KH550 / Al N modified Chemlock 220 is 4.34% higher than that of unmodified Chemlock 220.After determining the optimal ratio of KH590 / Al N and Chemlock 220,add graphene oxide to modify the Chemlock adhesive.When the mass ratio of KH590 modified Al N and CH220 is 10 to 1,add 3% mass fraction of graphene oxide.,Compared with KH590 alone,the thermal conductivity of modified aluminum nitride is increased by 30.73%,and the processing performance is excellent.
