| Product identification is a collective term for various expressions and instructions used to indicate product information.For health food,the product identification shall include the product name,raw materials,auxiliary materials,functional ingredients or symbolic ingredients and contents,suitable people,unsuitable people,health function,consumption amount and methods,specifications,storage methods,shelf life,precautions,etc.With the enhancement of national health awareness,the surge in consumer demand for health food and the expansion of the health food market are an inevitable trend.In such a huge market,consumers must rely on the identification of health food to obtain product information in order to correctly select the products they really need.Therefore,the essence of health food identification is to inform consumers of the relationship between "consumption behavior" and "consumption results".Only a scientific and reasonable health food identification can promote the healthy development of the health food industry and escort national health.Today the number of products with "help to boost immunity" in the health food market ranks first in all functional categories.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to sort out the information of traditional Chinese medicine health food that is claimed to be helpful for enhancing immunity.According to the "Health Food identification Regulations" of the former Ministry of Health,objectively summarize the information of Chinese medicine health food that can enhance immunity,and analyze the causes of the problems.So as to provide a reference basis for establishing a characterization system and life application that conforms to the functional claims and application specifications of traditional Chinese medicine health food which is helpful to enhance immunity.Research methods:The health food product identification information registered in the former China food and Drug Administration(CFDA)from 1996 to 2019 was searched,which was helpful to enhance the immunity of traditional Chinese medicine health food product identification information was collected and screened,summarized and counted.Based on "Health Food identification Regulations","Administrative Measures on Registration and Filing of Health Food","Notice on Further Standardizing the Management of Health Food Ingredients" and other policy documents,combined with the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China(2015)and other authoritative books,the Chinese Materia Medica(1999),the Chinese Traditional Medicine Dictionary(2006),textbooks and other reference books as well as modern research literature,this paper summarizes and analyzes the problems that help strengthen the immunity of Chinese medicine health food product label information,and puts forward relevant rationalization suggestions.Results:In this paper,the above methods were used to sort out the information about the Chinese medicine raw materials,functional claims,suitable and unsuitable people,and precautions of Chinese medicine health food which is helpful to enhance immunity function registered in the former China Food and Drug Administration(CFDA).The information is classified and summarized,and the frequency statistics are carried out.The regulations or records in policy documents,various books and academic papers in the field related to the contents of the identification of Chinese medicine health food which is helpful to enhance immunity are listed in detail.It is found that there are still many problems:1.The name and terminology of raw materials is not standardized and the standard of safe dosage is missing.2.The expression of functional claims ignores the objective effects of two-way regulation of immunity of traditional Chinese medicine raw materials.Function claim statement and scientific testing process lack of TCM theoretical guidance.3.The suitable and unsuitable groups are one-sided and confused,and lack the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory.4.The information of notice signs is lack of drug compatibility taboo tips and diet taboo tips.Conclusions:According to national policy,traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern research,the following industry norms should be supplemented:1.For the information expression and safe dosage of raw materials,it is necessary to strictly follow the records of Chinese Pharmacopoeia,write the name of raw materials,limit and write the drug dosage.If the medicinal materials used are not recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia,the reference books with strong credibility such as the dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine,Chinese materia medica and textbooks should be selected,quoted in turn and explained in the postscript of the label.2.For the writing of functional claims,the relevant departments should require health food companies to strictly sort out the literature basis of the two-way immunomodulatory effect of raw materials or carry out scientific experiments to clarify the dose-effect relationship.At the same time,combining with the theory of prescription,the standard terms of function claim are formulated,and the enterprises are required to carry out the research of human body test food based on the identification of TCM Constitution,so as to mark the function claim of TCM.3.For the expression of "suitable people" and "unsuitable people",it should be based on the identification of traditional Chinese medicine constitutions,and write corresponding appropriate constitution marks and taboo constitution marks according to the standard efficacy attributes of the added medicinal materials,and take institutional measures to ensure the normative status of the terms.4.The "precautions"should be guided by the theory of incompatibility of traditional Chinese medicine.The "carpet-style" research should be carried out by combining the contraindicated drugs and foods contained in the book on traditional Chinese medicine with modern literature,pharmacology and toxicology research methods,and clarify the scope of contraindications and mark them in "Precautions".The product identification of health food is the bridge and bond that it displays itself and makes consumers understand themselves;it is the core mechanism for relevant departments to plan and manage the health food industry.Through our research on the identification information of traditional Chinese medicine health food which is helpful to improve immunity in the current market,we have objectively summarized a number of issues and put forward specific recommendations in combination with traditional Chinese medicine theory,health preservation of traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern medical theory.In this way,it provides a guide for consumers to choose health food accurately,and also provides a reference plan for relevant departments to efficiently carry out supervision. |
