Steam huff and puff is a common thermal recovery method for heavy oil nowadays.However,the steam channeling often occurs in the late period of steam huff and puff because of the influence of reservoir geology or injection and production factors,leading to the development effect worse.Aimed at the problem of steam channeling,the characteristics and prediction-evaluation method of steam channeling are studied deeply through numerical simulation,physical simulation and reservoir engineering theory.Pointed at the reservoir static and dynamic factors affecting steam channeling,the main control factors are selected by numerical simulation and orthogonal experiment.Through physical simulation experiment,the dynamic rule of steam channeling is studied and the formation state of heating radius is determined.Furthermore,a numerical model is established to calculate the heating radius when steam channeling under different reservoir parameters.In addition,the calculation formula of heating radius between wells is fitted.The prediction representation to determine the steam channeling time is deduced according to the reservoir engineering theory,which includes the expression base on the equal saturation surface propulsion equation of steam cavity and the condensate water in steam channels.Then the influence rules of various parameters in the representation are analyzed.Moreover,the evaluation index of steam channeling is established to evaluate the steam channeling degree.Then the evaluation index is calculated and analyzed by numerical simulation to divide the steam channeling level.Finally,the practical example of evaluation index is applied.The research results provide theoretical basis for the prediction and evaluation of steam channeling,provide strong technical support for the combination of steam huff and puff,which have an important guiding significance.
