| Construction is one of the most dangerous industries with frequent accidents and grim situation of safety production.According to accident causation theory and results of accident investigation,construction worker’s unsafe behavior is the main and direct cause of construction accidents.To reduce construction accidents,it is necessary to control construction worker’s unsafe behavior.The premise for controlling construction worker’s unsafe behavior is to fully understand its occurrence mechanism and identify the preconditions leading to unsafe behavior,so,it is crucial to conduct an indepth study on factors contributing to construction worker’s unsafe behavior.Most of the time,construction workers live in groups and work in groups,and their unsafe behaviors will be affected by groups.Howerver,less attention has been paid to group factors that influence construction worker’s unsafe behavior.Studies in coal mine and other safety-related fields have shown that group dynamics affect individual unsafe behavior,which has not gain attention in the research on construction worker’s unsafe behavior.Therefore,this paper intends to study construction worker’s unsafe behavior from the perspective of group dynamics,exploring the influence mechanism of group dynamics on construction worker’s unsafe behavior and providing suggestions for controlling construction worker’s unsafe behavior in the context of group.Firstly,analyze the direct and indirect(based on motivation)effect of group dynamics on construction worker’s unsafe behavior,as well as the unsafe behavior under the interaction of group dynamics based on the pattern of construction worker’s unsafe behavior and the theory of group dynamics,building the theoretical model of group dynamics’ influence on construction worker’s unsafe behavior.Secondly,questionnaire survey was employed to collect data.Descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity test,as well as common method deviation test were conducted to analyze the sample data.Structural equation modelling was used for analyzing the main effect and mediated effect.Hierarchical regression was used to test the moderated effect.The results show that group safety norms,group pressure,group cohesion and group safety incentive have significant direct influence on construction worker’s unsafe behavior;group safety norms,group cohesion and group safety incentive also have significant indirect influence on construction worker’s unsafe behavior through unsafe behavior motivation;group pressure,group cohesion and group safety incentive moderate the relationship between group safety norms and construction worker’s unsafe behavior.This paper provided some suggestions based on the results of the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,that is,the construction enterprises should establish positive group safety norms;rationally utilize group pressure;enhance group cohesion;improve group safety incentive mechanism;and strengthen the management of construction worker’s unsafe behavior motivation.By exploring the relationship between group dynamics and construction worker’s unsafe behavior,this paper supplements and perfects the research system of construction worker’s unsafe behavior,and provides construction safety managers with new safety management strategies. |
