With the continuous growth of Chinese economy,Chinese cosmetic market is growing rapidly.In the past ten years,the growth rate of Chinese cosmetic market is more than 10 percent,and female skin care products take up a large slice of it.Women start to pay more attention on personal visualize and charm and they learn more about cosmetic products,so they have higher requirements for both cosmetic products and brands.On one hand,more and more foreign cosmetic brands plan to expand the Chinese market,on the other hand,the amount of local cosmetic brand is increasing.This makes the competition of cosmetic market more drastic than before.In the face of numerous products,customers attach more importance to emotional needs than function needs.That is to say,as an important influence of emotion,color will become customers' focus.However,compared with systematically developingprogress of foreign cosmetic brand,local brands lack enough attention and research on packaging design and color management.Even worse,many local brands copy the packaging design of famous brand products.I hope to find the connection between packaging color and product characteristics though research and make a color design for local brand“Pechoin”,which may provide some help to designers in the future.
