With the development of economy,transportation becomes more and more convenient.However,the complicated road conditions will bring great inconvenience to the blind.In addition to their own safety,it is also very important for blind people to know more about their surroundings.In order to make the blind get more information about the environment and let their families know the path of the blind,this paper designs a guide wand with the function of environment recognition and path viewing.In this paper,the design of the guide wand uses STM32F103 chip with high integration as the core controller.Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)technology is used to realize the function of environment identification and local navigation.When the blind walk,they can get the information of the environment through the card reader at the bottom of the guide stick and the data transmission of the electronic tag on the blind path.It includes information about the streets where blind people live,the surrounding landmarks,whether there are intersections,steps and so on.In order to better feedback the information of the environment to the blind,the voice chip SYN6288 is added,which can realize the function of text to voice.The environmental information is stored in the core controller of the guide wand in the form of text.The guide wand plays the corresponding environmental information by identifying the content of the electronic tag of the blind person’s location.Therefore,the blind can hear the information of the environment in the process of walking,and make up for the lack of vision through hearing.In order to make the blind more independent,and considering the limited range of the blind people’s regular activities,the guided wand realizes the function of local navigation for the blind through radio frequency identification technology.A modified guide is added to the guide stick to help the blind to identify the direction.When the blind go out alone,in order to let the family know more about the location of the blind,the guide wand realizes the function of path viewing.Families can view blind people’s real-time location and query historical path through OneNET China Mobile Internet Open Platform.The hardware used to realize this function is SIM868 module.This module not only can realize GPS positioning,but also has GPRS and GSM functions.Through the combination of hardware and software,the function of path viewing is realized.Add a SIM card with GPRS function to the module.When the SIM868 module receives the longitude,latitude and time information from the space satellite system,the core controller uploads the longitude and latitude information to OneNET China Mobile Internet Open Platform by parsing,connecting OneNET server,calling OneNET path to display API,sending device ID,and sending APIKey,so as to realize the function of path viewing.Considering the great inconvenience of using mobile phones for the blind,in order to make the family phone call easily and quickly in emergency,a button dialing function is added to the guide stick.The core controller sends corresponding instructions to the SIM868 module.When the blind press the button,the phone stored in the core controller will be dialed.The guide wand designed in this paper realizes the function of environment recognition,and has the function of path checking and one-click dialing.
