Application Of H₂S Scavengers And Corrosion Inhibitor In Gathering And Transferring Compressor Stations

The content of H₂S in the exploitation of natural gas increases sharply when the development of the Shengli Oil and Gas Field is at the middle or late stage and the water content increases significantly as well.The resulted corrosion of pipes becomes a serious threat against the safety of gathering and transferring pipeline operations.On the other hand,the leaked natural gas resulted from corrosion holeis toxic and it is a direct hazard to lives and safety.The accumulated corrosion product and impurity in facilities of the compressor station,pretreatment station,and pipelines leads to serious corrosion and high costs for the frequent maintenances.This work analyzes the mechanism of H₂S adsorbent and corrosion inhibitor,and tests the natural gas composition and corrosion product.The corrosion mechanism of the gas compressor station system in the oil-gas gathering and transferring factory is studied and effective measures to control the corrosion of the application were developed.The new inhibitor and H₂S adsorbent are the main subject of this work and it focuses on two chemicals.Based on the field test data,these two chemicals had good performancesin reducing the content of H₂S and controlling the corrosion of natural gas pipelines.The repairing period of high pressure compressor natural gas compressor rotor system due to corrosion and wear in Gudao Gas Compressor Station extended from one year to two years.The new type of H₂S scavengers has reached the same level as the international famous company's products.Two developed formulations are suit for the application of anticorrosive technology in natural gas transportation system of Shengli Oil Field.They can be used widely in the offshore platform,high content of H₂S in oil and gas wells,gas gathering system and generate significant economic and social benefits.
