Explosive welding was a technology of bonding different metal or nonmetal together under the condition of instantaneous high temperature and pressure by explosive detonation.It had been widely applied to many fields including petrochemical industry,metallurgy,water conservancy,machinery processing.The research group manufactured T10-Q245 clad plate by explosive welding.The clad plate obtained the high hardness of tool steel T10 and the excellent plasticity of carbon steel Q245.It presented two research contents on the basis of previous work in the paper.Firstly,the tensile,shear,bending tests and metallographic analysis were operated on the clad plate.The results of test and analysis would provide a reference for subsequent machining and engineer application of the clad plate.Then numerical model of T10-Q245 clad plate by ANSYS/LSDYNA was built to improve the explosive welding process.T10-Q245 clad plate was heat treated to explosive composite,annealing composite,quenching and tempering composite.The tensile,shear and bending tests were operated on the three states of T10-Q245 clad plate and its mechanical property was analyzed in this paper.The ultimate tensile strength of quenched and tempered clad plate was maximal.The bending properties of annealing clad were best.And the shear strength of explosive clad plate was lowest.Metallographic analysis showed that the interface configuration was approximate sine wave,and ratio of amplitude and wavelength was between 0.26-0.32,which indicated that the combination of T10 and Q245 was well.The interface of quenching and tempering clad was the most uniform.The model of high-speed oblique collision was built based on SPH method by ANSYS/LSDYNA and LS-ProPost.It showed that there was not jet flow phenomenon at the beginning.As deriving interface wave,amplitude was rising to the stable and there were more and more jet particles.Based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA,T10-Q245 finite element model was built and its pressure,velocity and plastic strain were analyzed in the paper.It required that flayer was enlarged or heat treated in product because the combination around the detonating point was low and plastic strain at the edge of composite plate was largest.Through different charge and different spacing models,the increase of charge benefited welding under the condition of plate was well.And the spacing between T10 and Q245 was best to 6 mm-8 mm.
