Large industrial heat exchangers are important equipments in the area of oils and chemical industries. Connections of radiator tube and strongback were key point in the process of heat exchanger. The compression resistence and life-span of Large-scale industrial heat exchangers are directly related to welding quality of tubesheet. The traditional ways connecting the tubesheet are that molten welding,mechanical expansion,mechanical expansion–welding and so on.These methods can expect a certain amounts of connection strength and airtightness, However,the small connection area, the low connection efficiency and the short life-span cannot be achieved the expected compression resistence and the life-span.Tube vs sheet explosive welding technology is a special welding method of high energy rate. Under the correct parameters and process, more than ten even the whole radiator tubes could be welded with the strongback through this method,which reflect the high efficiency and energy saving,high production efficiency and the benefitable connection quality.In this paper,study of tube-sheet explosive welding for three materials were represented after searching and reading relevant knowledges both at home and abroad,the material modle and finite element model are constituted. and finally,large nonlinear finite element analytic software ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used through the process of the simulation of the tube vs sheet explosive welding.Experimental result and simulation result show that:1,Explosive welding method can successfully achieve the metallurgical bonding of the copper tube-steel plate,the stainless steel tube-steel plates and the steel tube-steel plate,their bonding area were perfect microwaves. The technology provides a energy-saving and efficient approach.for the manufacture of heat exchangers tube plate connection.2,The existing formula for calculating dynamite amount of tube vs plate explosive welding were amended through the experimental results;3,Numerical simulation results show that: The composite energy of the point of near initiation is lower than that of stable detonation,so the boundary effect of the process of explosive welding is appeared.According to what we have obtained, the process of removing the boundary effect was set down.4,Error between the theoretical calculation results and simulation results of the collision piont pressure and flyer tube velocity were no more than 5%,reflecting the good matchness of between the result and the simulation.,which could be advised in the industry.5,The stress state,the jet character and bonding form of waveform.are reasonable reflected by Simulation results during explosive welding.
