Environmental News Report On The Construction Of Gansu's Environmental Image

The environment is the material basis on which a region depends,and the environmental image represents the potential for regional development.Gansu Province has left a glorious page in history based on ecological resources such as Qilian Mountain and Yellow River.However,in today's national green development,Gansu's environmental image has gone from bad to worse.Especially after the destruction of the Qilian Mountain National Nature Reserve.In view of the current situation of Gansu's poor environmental image,this paper starts from the perspective of communication and studies the construction of Gansu's environmental image in the current media,and tries to provide reference for the improvement of Gansu's environmental image.In the selection of the media environment news report sample,this article selects 525 news reports about the Gansu environment since Netease News and Gansu Daily.Combining the two methods of content analysis and text analysis,this paper first analyzes the basic characteristics of these news reports;then divides these news reports into four frameworks according to the purpose of different subject and environmental reports,namely Political framework,economic framework,human framework and environmental framework.Through research,Netease News and Gansu Daily have constructed different Gansu environmental images through the selection of different environmental issues and environmental behavior reports of various subjects.Under the political framework,the two have respectively constructed the environmental image of the Gansu government which is corrupt and ignores environmental protection;and the environmental image of the Gansu government which is actively acting;Under the economic framework,the two have respectively constructed the the image of environmental protection achievements and contradictions is co-existed,and the image of balanced development of the economic and environment;Under the humanistic framework,the difference between the two is relatively small,and the image of the humanistic Gansu that actively carries out environmental protection under the perspective of the masses is constructed;Under theenvironmental framework,the two have respectively constructed the environmental image of Gansu where both protection and destruction coexist,the environmental image of Gansu which have remarkable environmental protection achievements.Not only that,in the report of the image crisis incident,the two types of media also showed a certain degree of difference.In order to bridge the differences in Gansu's environmental image in Netease News and Gansu Daily media reports,and to improve the environmental image of Gansu,this paper believes that we should start from the two aspects of environmental image communication and environmental image improvement.On the one hand,it will enhance the agenda setting ability of local media in Gansu,and report on relevant environmental issues in a targeted manner.On the other hand,it should strengthen the environmental protection responsibility of the government's main body,and do a good job in the precise positioning of Gansu's environmental image and environmental crisis response.
