As the first electric processing equipment in our country,the reciprocating wire-walking WEDM machine has the advantages of strong machining ability,no macro-cutting force and low processing cost.It is widely used in the machining of difficult-to-cut materials and special-shaped parts.However,compared with other domestic processing equipment,it still has great deficiencies in the control system.In order to keep in step with the development trend of current open CNC system based on PC,improve the function and communication level of wire cutting CNC system,and promote the ability of intelligence,automation and networking to meet the requirements of current large-scale industrial applications,it should develop a new CNC system that meets the characteristics of modern manufacturing which based on the currently widely used Windows system.A new type of numerical control system which fits the characteristics of modern manufacturing industry.This paper aims at the CNC system of "PC + motion control card" mode under Windows system,plans and formulates the overall scheme of the system,and carries out structural design and functional division of the software/hardware system and develops the function of the key modules.The research contents are as follows:(1)Based on analyzing the function of the current reciprocating wire cutting CNC machine tool,the overall scheme of the numerical control system is designed and planed,and the structure and function of the software/hardware system in the system are explained.Based on the system platform and development requirements,the development method and development platform of the process parameter library and automatic programming system are expounded.(2)On the basis of VS2010 platform and Access database,the module of process parameter library suitable for WEDM is developed.A large number of processing parameters are stored in the parameter library,and the objects of the database can be displayed on the interface by WinForm technology.At the same time,the parameter library realizes the function of adding,deleting and querying and modifying the processing parameters and the generation and processing function of the processing parameter file,which can be used for the selection and use of different processing parameters in the actual processing.(3)On the basis of.Net secondary development technology and AutoCAD platform,the automatic programming system of wire cutting is developed.The system integrates the powerful graphics drawing and editing ability of AutoCAD software together with wire cutting,and realizes the functions of contour drawing,processing parameter setting,path generation,code output,non-circular curve fitting and so on.Combined with custom developed menus and toolbars,it can be used in the actual machining of wire cutting machines.(4)Based on the process parameter library and the automatic programming system,the processing experiments of thin-walled parts are carried out by WEDM.While verifying the functions of the above modules,the effects of the parameters such as pulse width,inter-pulse,wall thickness and thin-walled width on the deformation of thin-walled parts after processing are expounded,and the impact significance of the above parameters is analyzed.The experimental results objectively provide a reference for the selection of processing parameters and the design of thin-walled parts,and enrich the parameter types of the existing WEDM parameter library to a certain extent.This CNC system is based on the open CNC system and combines with a modular development method to realize the function development of the process parameter library and the automatic programming system.Combined with the actual processing verification,the functions of the above modules meet the needs of actual production.
