Distribution Change And Influence Of Guizhou Handmade Papermaking Since Qing Dynasty

Handmade papermaking is one of four inventions of China,while with the appearing of paper made by machinery,the handmade papermaking recently tends to quit from the altar to become an endangered folk art.There are plenty of handmade papermaking production bases in Guizhou,many of which have been listed as the national intangible cultural heritages.Researching the distribution change of the Guizhou handmade papermaking can effectively find handmade papermaking remains within Guizhou,so as to protect more scientifically those precious national cultural heritages.In this thesis,the research angle has been historical geography;adopting historical information analysis,data statistics,graph comparison,searching information from articles of Guizhou handmade industry,surveys of Guizhou minority investigation,chorography of Guizhou in Qing of the Republic of China,files of Guizhou Provincial Cultural Relic Bureau and national intangible cultural heritages of Guizhou Museum,also field survey records of Danzhai,Zhenfeng,Wudang,Yinjiang,Wuchuan,Congjiang,Pingtang,Suiyang,etc.so such many problems have been deeply discussed as distributions,changes,features,influences of Guizhou handmade papermaking from the Republic of China of Qing Dynasty.There are five parts in the thesis.The first one is the overview of handmade papermaking,divided into domestic handmade papermaking and Guizhou handmade papermaking.The second part is about time and space distribution of Guizhou handmade papermaking,and Guizhou handmade papermaking development traces from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China has been explored in the local space angle and in time angle.The three part is about reason for Guizohu handmade papermaking distribution changes,analyzed from natural geography,government policy,social development,productivity and market.The fourth part is about regional features of Guizhou handmade papermaking,analyzed from distribution features,heritage features,minority features,etc.The fifth part is about influence of Guizhou handmade papermaking,and time has been set as the order,discussed in aspects of the province and China.Through analyzing and researching,it has been discovered that Guizhou handmade papermaking has been plenty from being rare along the old post road,and Guizhou handmade papermaking has a distribution rule of being from dots to faces also influences in every time.For how to discover Guizhou handmade papermaking’s cultural value and how to better protect Guizhou handmade papermaking,the author’s opinion has been raised.
