With the development of science and technology,the arrival of digital information age and its widespread use,the traditional artificial visual method of measuring sphericity and roundness and other parameters of fracturing proppants has been unable to adapt to the needs of the construction of oil field digital platform.It mainly reflected in the artificial visual labor intensity,big impact of human factors,non-real-time value of transmission and poor traceability of information.Especially after decades of exploitation,most of oil fields are entering the middle and advanced stages step by step,which makes it more and more difficult to exploit low permeability oil and mining natural gas wells.In order to increase production,demand for fracturing proppant and its growing performance,the test requirement is requested to a higher standard.Therefore,the study of an intelligent fracturing proppant measurement system not only is very urgent and necessary,but also has a wide range of practical value.Based on the actual demand and application of fracturing proppant in oil field,sphericity and roundness of proppant are both important characters to judge the performance of fracturing proppants according to industry standard.By investigating the development of measurement technology of evaluations about the particles and the sphericity and roundness of fracturing proppant at home and abroad,the paper proposes a scheme of intelligent measurement system of fracturing proppant combined with sample collection,selection of light source,image acquisition,image processing and computer software operation and also carries out the system implementation and comparison test.In this paper,a new vacuum negative pressure device is designed,which replaces the manual placement method,completely solves the defects of artificial placement of particle adhesion and transforms the microscope illumination mode and the microscope magnification reading method.Through the comparison of the preprocessing and preprocessing algorithms of the collected images,an effective image preprocessing algorithm is selected and determined.Based on the analysis of the current known algorithm of the sphericity and roundness of fracturing proppant,the deficiency of the sphericity and roundness algorithm of fracturing proppant is found,and a method for determining the roundness and sphericity of fracturing proppant based on the shape parameters is proposed.In this method,in order to determine sphericity of proppants,high-order fitting curve is used to figure out the relationship between the sphericity and the ratio of the corresponding maximum inscribed circle radius and the minimum circumscribed circle radius of the edge of 20 particles in the Krumbein-Sloss template.The roundness measurement scheme focuses on the relationship between the corner points and roundness of the proppant particles.Piecewise curve fitting is utiliezed for the edge of the proppant particles and the relationship between the radius of curvature and the maximum inscribed circle radius-can be used to determine the roundness value.Through the experimental and data analysis,it is found that the sphericity and roundness obtained by the proposed algorithm are in good agreement about 95 to 100 percent with those obtained by the artificial mesurement.Finally,VC ++ and Matlab mixed programming technology is introduced to develop system measurement software,through which measurement of sphericity,roundness and other parameters of the proppant particles,data display,data storage and other functions can be achieved.In this paper,we study the fracturing proppant intelligent measuring system and have completed joint between the hardware and software.Advantages of simple samples operation,accurate parameter measuring and friendly human-computer interaction are indicated by practical fracturing proppant particles measurement experiments,which lays a solid foundation for achieving the automation of the fracturing proppant quality assessment and the reform and innovation of test standard.
