The process of residue hydrogenation is complex,for the pore of the catalyst can be blocked by metal sulfide and coke resulting from carbon reaction,therefore the catalyst will lose activity.Thus the improvement of catalyst shall start with the ability of metal containing and dispersivity.This papper attempts to establish the contact between performance and properties of catalyst by characterize and evaluate the collected catalysts under the conditions of laboratory,in order to provide theoretical guidance for the improvement of the catalyst.The properties of catalysts are be characterized by BET?XRF?SEM?TRD?TPR?TEM.It is indicated that the main difference of the catalysts concentrates on the pore sturacture,the content of Mo that is used as the active component,is generally low,which indicates the low cost of catalysts preparation.The different interaction between metal and support results from the different containings of Ni.The type of acid is measured to be equal while the distribution of acid strength different.The effect of metal elimination is remarkable evalucated by the hydrogenation reaction carried in the high-pressure reactor.The capacity of processing asphaltene is studied by the analysis of the four components of residu.The pore stcuctures of catalysts change remarkably after the reaction,while the carbon deposition serious.The TG-DSC test is carried out subsequently,and it is indicated that the capacity of anti-coking of C-5 is remarkable,as well as the metal elimination and hydrogenation.The lamellar length and stacking layers of C-6 are measured to be better than others,and C-6 should theoreticall have better capacity of hydrogenation.It is speculated that the pore of the catalyst is blocked more quickly as a result of the higher activy,which can lead to the rapid deposition of the product.The proportion of the oil sample after the reaction of the catalysts prepared is increased compared with that of C-6.The catalysts prepared is superior to C-6 in the saturated yield.After the reaction,the aromatic content of the oil samples increases not obviously.And the conversion rate of the asphaltene was obviously improved with the increase of the P content.The best proportion of the catalyst for the most significant increase in hydrogenation activity with P content of 2.5(wt%).According to this papper,the direction to improve HDM catalyst should focus on the adjustment of the microstructure of the acvtive phase,finding the best match of the active ingredient with the appropriate activity.
