Walking is the most daily activity of human beings, and shoes are the essential equipment.A pair of comfortable fit shoes help ease the pressure of the foot in the body generated during exercise, and even adjust the posture while walking.Children are at the stage of growth and development, and the effect of shoes on the foot pressure and gait of children is more prominent. At present, many scholars are committed themselves to the research of children’s gait. However, there are few studies on the aspects of children’s shoes, and due to the different experimental methods, the conclusions are not exactly the same.In view of the above problems, this paper adopts a wireless surface electromyography instrument,a motion capture system and a three-dimensional dynamometer to test a number of 9-10-year-olds for free walking and even running. The data obtained from the experiment are quantitatively analyzed, revealing gait characteristics and muscle activity of children during different exercises. The effects of different shoe sole hardness and different shoe soles on the kinematics, dynamics and s EMG parameters of lower limbs of children were explored. The main research contents are as follows:(1)Sole parameter selection: Inquiries about the national standard on shoe’s sole hardness as well as the children’s shoes business for the sole hardness of the industry standards,The standard hardness corresponding to the shoe code is the middle value, the other two experimental shoes sets the difference between the upper and lower hardness of5 Shore A.Visit the children’s shoes market, conduct market research to determine the three most common kinds of sole material on the market of children’s shoes. Then make shoes with the combination of three kinds of sole hardness which are 50,55,60 shore A and three kinds of sole materials of TPR,MD and rubber.(2)Surface electromyography test: The Delsys all-wireless surface electromyography system was used to test children for free walking at 10 m flat ground and 5 km/h for running at a constant speed.During the measurement,EMG signals were collected from tibialis anterior muscle, gastrocnemius medial, gastrocnemius lateral, biceps femoris and vastus lateralis. Then analyze the effect of the above musles on i EMG value,RMS value,AEMG value and the contribution of muscle activity when wearing different sole hardness and different shoe sole materials shoes.(3)Kinematics test: The NDI three-dimensional motion measurement system was used to test the children’s freedom of walking on flat ground.During the measurement, angle changes of lower extremity joints and gait characteristics were collected. Then analyze the influence on the angle change of hip joint, knee joint and ankle joint, and the influence on stride length, step speed, gait frequency and gait cycle when children wearing experimental shoes with different soles hardness and different sole materials.(4)Dynamic test: the Bertec three-dimensional force platform was used to test the children’s free walking, and the ground reaction force was collected during the measurement. Then analyze the influence on horizontal longitudinal, transverse and vertical directions of ground reaction force when children wearing experimental shoes with different soles hardness and different sole materials. This paper adopts the combined method, comprehensive evaluation of effects of sole hardness and material for the children of plantar pressure and gait, the experimental data can provide the control basis for treatment and diagnosis of plantar pressure and gait abnormalities in children, also can provide a theoretical reference for the design and development of children’s shoes enterprises.
