Chinese contemporary tea art is born out of the traditional tea culture but different from the way drinking tea in the old tea houses. As far as Chengdu is concerned, the decoration and consumption of the contemporary tea house highlights the more refined taste. The article uses Pierre Bourdieu's theory of distinction, taking Chengdu contemporary tea art as the survey object, through the fieldwork of several teahouses like YaoLi in Chengdu and the tea art tea drinkers groups in there, handing out questionnaires among tea drinkers, exploring the intrinsic relationship between body-based “taste” and “grade” in the social evaluation system. The following conclusions were drawn from the research : Firstly,in the view of the consumer society, there are ranks hiding in tea,tea sets, tea houses and other material culture, different choices for them represent the tastes of different groups.Secondly, taste has a distinction between grade, the distinction,on the one hand,it is embodied in the phenomenon of aggregation caused by taste identification, for example, the real tea drinkers pursue the quality of tea,the skills and other elements that make tea tastes better. They gather together to form a circle that can communicate with each other. On the other hand, separation, different tastes basically correspond to different consumer classes in society.Thirdly, tea drinkers tastes are related to mastery of skill, sensitivity to tea, talents and other factors.Rich tea drinking experience and high sensitivity are often obtained through a lot of energy, time and economic costs, the influence of the family environment, and related educational backgrounds. This aesthetic ability is the embodiment of comprehensive strength. In contemporary life beyond tea art, life style and aesthetic taste are also the judgment standard of "Things of one kind come together".
