The silica-filled SSBR/BR can simultaneously improve the wet skid resistance and rolling resistance.The addition of functional resin can further improve the wet skid resistance of the composites.In this paper,the effects of the content and the structure of functional resins on the wet skid resistance of silica-filled SSBR/BR were investigated to explore the wet skid resistance mechanism of addition of the functional resins in SSBR/BR.Then,the DCPD resin was modified by maleic anhydride and the effect of the MAH modified DCPD resins on wet skid performance were studied.Firstly,the effect of the content of modified rosin resin on the wet skid resistance of SSBR/BR was studied.The results show that the modified rosin resin reduces the hardness and modulus of the SSBR/BR vulcanicate and increases the tensile strength,elongation at break and tear strength.The addition of the modified rosin resin reduces the Payne effect of the compound,narrows the loss peak,and increases the peak loss of the vulcanizate,which shows that the addition of rosin resins improves the dispersion of the filler of the compound.The modified rosin resin is phase-separated in the rubber,and the glass transition temperature moved to a high temperature,which increases the 0~oC tan?value of the vulcanicate,and does not affect the 60~oC tan?value.With the increase of the content of modified rosin,the static contact angle of SSBR/BR vulcanicate gradually decreased,and the BPST value increased gradually.The addition of the modified rosin resin can improve wet skid resistance of the SSBR/BR compound without substantially affecting its rolling resistance.Secondly,the effects of functional resins with different structures on the wet skid resistance of SSBR/BR were studied.It was found that the addition of functional resin reduce the crosslink density and rebound of the vulcanicate,increased the volume of abrasion,temperature rise and 0~oC tan?,and the glass transition temperature moved to high temperature.Among them,DCPD resin has a great influence on the crosslink density of the vulcanicate.AMS resin has the best compatibility with SSBR and has the greatest influence on the glass transition temperature of the vulcanicate.The addition of rosin resin improves the filler dispersion of the vulcanicate,which increases the peak loss of the vulcanicate and narrows the loss peak.And the vulcanicate filled rosin resin has the lowest contact angle and the largest BPST value.So the vulcanicate filled rosin resin has the high wet skid performance and the low rolling resistance.Finally,the effect of maleic anhydride modified DCPD resins on the wet skid resistance of SSBR/BR was studied.The results shows that the softening point,acid value and thermal stability of the modified DCPD resin gradually increased,and the iodine value gradually decreased with the increase of the content of maleic anhydride.With the increase of the content of maleic anhydride on DCPD resin chains,the Mooney viscosity and BPST value of the vulcanicate increase initially and then tend to be constant.The 100%modulus,300%modulus and compressive heat increase,and the elongation at break,tensile strength and wear volume decrease gradually,the peak of the loss of the system increased,and the glass transition temperature shifted to the high temperature.The 0°C tan?of the vulcanicate increases initially,but then decreased,and the 60°C tan?is constant basically.Among them,the vulcanicate filled with DCPD resin modified by 4phr MAH has the best overall performance.
