Shaped cigarettes are a general term that differs from traditional standard cigarettes in that they have unique characteristic properties such as length,width,thickness,material and weight.The standard cigarette size is(270-286)*(86-90)*(44-49)mm.If the size of the cigarette is different from the above standard cigarette size,it is collectively referred to as the shaped cigarette.Important market demand has been formed.The sales volume of Nanjing shaped cigarettes has been increased from an average of 2,000 per day to more than 20,000 per day.Due to the low efficiency,high labor intensity and high error rate of manual sorting,it is impossible to complete daily sorting work.An automated device for the sorting of shaped cigarettes is particularly important.This dissertation takes the Jiangsu Tobacco Company Nanjing Company’s special-shaped cigarette sorting line development project as the system background,and studies the design and implementation of the special-type cigarette sorting control and management system based on PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)technology.The dissertation completed the research and development practice process of the automatic cigarette sorting equipment for the cigarettes in the Nanjing Cigarette Logistics Distribution Center.Combined with the mechanical equipment design,the application practice of electronic control technology,the information management,and the image recognition quality inspection,the dissertation completed the overall shaped cigarette automatic.The research and development of sorting equipment has solved the existing problem of sorting of shaped cigarettes.The main contents of the dissertation are as follows: Firstly,the overall scheme description of the special-shaped cigarette sorting system is introduced,and the functions of the mechanical structure of the system,the design of the electrical control system,the information management design,and the design of the sorting order inspection system based on image(visual)identification,and sorting system testing and improved design.The characteristics of the special-shaped cigarettes and the shortage of the traditional sorting scheme were analyzed.The special-type cigarette sorting scheme was designed based on the virtual pallet queue idea.Combined with the special-shaped cigarette sorting operation process,the overall design of the sorting system was carried out.Secondly,it analyzes the demand of the control section of the special cigarettes,and combines the design principles of the control system to design the system components,I/O point distribution and connection,power supply access,PLC key control link procedures,etc.The realization process of the control system functions such as PLC hardware configuration and status monitoring in the control system.Furthermore,the requirements of the information management software for the profiled cigarettes are analyzed,and the interface of the information management system and the control system are discussed.The contents of the database construction,data operation and data optimization procedures are introduced during the implementation process,and the data management and sorting monitoring are realized.Features.Finally,the classification and verification design based on image recognition is carried out.Different types and specifications of different types of cigarettes are distinguished by the training classifier and classification identification in image recognition,and this link is used as the proofreading link after sorting.This detects the sorting result.Through the research and development of the special-shaped cigarette sorting equipment,the picking efficiency of the special-shaped cigarettes has reached 7,000 pieces/hour,realizing accurate and quick automatic picking of the special-shaped cigarettes.The utility model shows that the automatic sorting system and the tobacco logistics provide a solid technical guarantee for the sorting work of the shaped cigarettes,which can significantly improve the logistics operation efficiency and reduce the labor intensity.
