With the continuous development of science and technology and the emergence of various new technologies and industries,the performance requirements of materials are getting higher and higher,and the performance of single component materials is difficult to meet these requirements.In recent years,the production,research and application of metal composites have attracted more and more attention.With the rapid development of electric power,electronics and computer industry,the requirement for the accuracy and stability of metal composite materials in performance is increasing.Titanium alloy TC4,as a high quality alloy material,is widely used in aerospace,shipping and other industries.Because of its high cost,its application scope is limited.Aluminum Alloy 6061 is inexpensive,but its own metal properties make it impossible to be used in areas requiring high strength of materials.The hot-rolled Al-Ti-Al three-layer composite sheet can make up for the shortcomings of the two alloys,which can not only reduce the cost,but also obtain the mechanical properties that the single-layer Al-6061 does not have.In this paper,the hot-rolled Al-Ti-Al three-layer composite plate is systematically studied through theoretical calculation,numerical simulation,rolling experiment and performance analysis.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,on the basis of classical composite plate theory,taking titanium alloy TC4 as base material and aluminium alloy 6061 as cladding material,the performance indexes of aluminium-titanium-aluminium three-layer composite plate under different cladding ratios of aluminium alloy are calculated,including strength,stiffness,safety factor,specific strength and specific stiffness,and the cladding ratio of aluminium-titanium-aluminium three-layer composite plate with the best performance is determined.It provides a theoretical basis for selecting the thickness ratio of each layer in numerical simulation and rolling experiment.Secondly,on the basis of optimum thickness ratio of each metal layer,the calculation model of Al-Ti-Al triple composite plate was established by using MSC.Marc finite element software,and the hot rolling process was simulated.The temperature field and stress field in hot rolling process are obtained by simulation calculation.The influence of temperature and stress changes on bonding strength of composite plate during rolling process is analyzed,and the optimal rolling process parameters are determined.Then,on the basis of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation,the hot rolling experiment of Al-Ti-Al three-layer clad plate was carried out on the experimental two-roll mill of Shanxi Key Laboratory of Metallurgical Equipment Design and Theory,taking into account the factors of different temperature,different reduction and different thickness ratio.Finally,the mechanical properties and micro-morphology of Al-Ti-Al three-layer composite plate obtained by hot rolling experiment were tested.Tensile tests were carried out on a tensile testing machine for rolled composite plates.The influence of different rolling parameters on the bonding strength of Al-Ti-Al three-layer composite plates was analyzed.At the same time,the micro-morphology of the bonding surface of the rolled composite plate was observed under the electron microscope,and the EDS analysis was carried out.The diffusion layer thickness of the composite plate under different rolling processes was studied,and the conclusions obtained from the macro-mechanical test were verified.
