A Study Of Hami’s Clothing Pattern Culture

Guided by Marxist theory,this paper focuses on Hami’s costume pattern.Hami was once an important hub on the "ancient Silk Road",known as the "Western Region throat,Chinese arch Ya".The costume pattern clearly presents the characteristics of the Han culture in the Central Plains and the Manchu culture in the Qing Dynasty.The pattern uses a large area of full embroidery,and the pattern is bright and complex,slender and complicated,with extremely rich levels.Various kinds of tapestry,independent patterns,full of patterns,forming a specific style and style.Patterns are mainly composed of trees,flowers,birds and so on,which are common in their living environment.Geometric patterns are in the majority,embroidery techniques are rigorous and delicate,colors or brilliant,or simple and generous.Patterns are not directly copied from the prototype of life,but use romantic techniques to abstract the flowers,plants,trees and animals in reality,and the patterns are rich and changeable.It is vivid and flexible.Various patterns are organically combined,showing a distinct life style.In this paper,Hami clothing and accessories patterns and colors as the research focus,taking today’s national apparel,household textiles as an example,extract the symbolic elements of its pattern decoration and analysis and interpretation.Through field investigation and in-depth interviews,the author believes that Hami’s costume pattern has its own characteristics in composition and layout,color design and shape selection.It contains profound folk wisdom and is a folk art formed in a certain historical background,natural environment and national blending.If pattern elements are applied in today’s home textile design,it is believed that the development of national industry will be driven to a certain extent.Therefore,the author proposes that we should do a good job in the protection and inheritance of Hami clothing pattern,apply it to today’s household textiles,design and develop derivatives with a sense of the times and visual beauty,in order to meet the different needs of consumers.
